EC: Microsoft didn't honour browser-choice commitment

I dont get it?

I get Microsoft trying to create a browser monopoly by bundle ie with windows but what about the other programs bundled with windows like paint,notepad and calculator there must be other software companies out there making these sorts of apps.

why can I only use Samsung's web browser in my TV. do Samsung have a monopoly in TVs.

I live in a town in the UK which has its own Telephone lines (some might say a monopoly) so the only option for broadband is through them, so I cannot get the sky broadband bundle, on the plus side the service they other is good, technical support great, never had them bat bat an eyelid about illegal downloads (for the 8 Years I've being on broadband) and they rolling out FTTH.

The thing with Microsoft is you've always had a choice of browser some people just didn't know which id put down to lack of advertising on the others behalf. A lot of average users don't even know what a browser is or what it does.

in my opinion optical disks are going to be about for a long time to come weather it be cd, dvd blu-ray or something new, no software company are going to replace disks which cost penny's with sd which cost £££ and for people who say digital downloads well a lot of people still get crap internet speeds and some don't even have the internet and the ones that do have a download limit and finally there's the quality, I dont think download movies can ever equal blu ray in quality because of the compression.

Apple might be right about CD/DVD being on the way out but blu-ray isn't yea you can by an external optical drive but that makes your imac look shit and image is what apple are about

You seem to think its OK for companies to treat is employees like shit because the alternative would be unemployment. Lets face it, with Apple being Foxconn's biggest customer then they should demand fair working conditions which they themselves intrude.

Apple's huge profit margins are only possible because of the cheapest labour. Steve Jobs always banged on about changing the world for the better but at the end of the day it was/ is all about profit.

Desktop Tablet Hybrid

What I would like to see is a tablet locked down with metro which one could use around the house for multimedia, web, social and at the office for taking notes in meetings etc (maybe include a stylus). Then when I put it in a docking station it locks it down in to windows classic so I can use only the software designed for mouse and keyboard.

That way when your sat at a desk your using a p.c they way it was designed and I can switch that P.C into a tablet and use the touch interface when i'm sat on my sofa.
