Steam-powered computers: Retro cool or old and busted?

Signalling has always been digital. Signals were referred to as either Off for go or On for stop. With points either Normal or Reverse. The levers are like on/off switches with the software being the locking under the frame all done mechanically. The only analogue bit would be adjusting the wire lengths, throw for points and the brightness of the oil lights used for the signals.

Technically its switching from circuit switched routing to packet based. It has only been analogue from the premises to the exchange since the last digital exchange was installed some time around the turn of the millennium.

UK phone sockets do not use RJ11 there is BT specific one.

The clues in the title. I actually use a Hyperjuice mini similar size but 7,600 mAh rather than 4,000 mAh of this one. Lets me run GPS on my iPhone for over 12 hours, only 2 hours with the built in battery.
