Working on Oracles view that even the potential to run Oracle on it means a licence cost we now be getting close to needing to licence every core that has or will exist

Thats not strictly true as since Android 6 (possibly 5.11) both my phone and tablet (n5 and Sony z2) have had a guest account option and indeed teh setup allows you to skip all account details . But yes if you want to use services you need to login.

Google also already has a family account that allows the sharing of apps etc etc

The whole event was about Stuff Google designed and built, the rumours are that the next 7" tablet was the last of the nexus style collaborations so we may see info on this as just a product update via press release

Hopefully this also heralds an increase in the account teams ability to bring the same discount levels to the cloud services as they can to the on prem
