Oh yea...a REAL shame...about the millions of workers put OUT OF WORK by such things.

Forgive me...I forgot all the good "driving down costs" has done for the pocketbooks of the business owners & CEOs. How thoughtless of me for that.
Imagine that...someone(s) hacked Bitcoin...an online, imaginary, virtual currency. Now why would anyone want to do that? Comes as a total shock....OK...so maybe not.
Just like all the rest of this "social media" crap...if you are stupid enough to use it...then shut the F up, and deal with the consequences, when it all turns to sh*t before your eyes.
...and put it towards designing some NEW products...instead of warming over what is already OLD merchandise...then they might just see their stock price head in the opposite direction from where it is going currently...which is DOWN.
Well...there was an "inventor" from Menlo Park, NJ who took credit for all sorts of inventions a century plus ago, which were actually invented by his employees. And he too was very unliked by a lot of people. Especially those who knew him back then...like my parents & grand-parents...and many other residents of the community.
Nothing much has changed in the world in nearly one hundred years.

If Ichan gets his slimy paws on Dell, he will gut the company, and sell off the bits to make himself a huge profit, just as he has done with countless other companies.
He has absolutely no feelings for the people who work for the companies he raids, he is solely in it for the money he can pull out of a company, and put in his own pocket.

Let me tell you a little story about Sir Howard, & his early days at Sony.
I have a friend who was one of Sir Howard's two personal assistants, going back to his days at CBS, Inc. She was with him for many years, and she & I both were Flight Pursers at a now defunct airline. We worked together for the better part of 20 years. She moved on to CBS with Howard (before he was Knighted), and I moved on to the IT world.
I received a call from her one day, a year or so after she (and Howard) had moved to Sony, inquiring about my thoughts on what brand of laptop computer she should buy for her "significant other".
I was a bit confused, and asked her why wasn't she considering a Sony laptop? Her reply..."No one here at Sony uses Sony computers. They are not very good...and the support is non-existent." Man did I have a laugh!
She ended up purchasing an IBM (pre-Lenovo) ThinkPad for him.
True story.
Don't GIVE the little nippers an iPad! Or any other device, for that matter.
If they have to have one...let them get a job...earn the money to BUY it themselves...then let THEM figure out how to pay for all the things they feel they need.
It starts & ends with the parents' decisions to give their children EVERYTHING. Make them earn what they have, and they will be far better for it.
End of rant...move along now.
Not necessarilly missing anything much by NOT being "connected". Afterall...there are still newspapers in circulation for folks to get the news...or the Tele as well.
Imaging their "loss" at not being on Farcebook...or Twatter...or even here, for that matter. Might just be far better off.

On many occasions it IS me...but not this time. Just need to run programs that the CB can't, nor can a Surface RT, for that matter. Good for some, not for others. But I also wouldn't purchase a Surface Pro either. Most of the applications I run are not touch-centric...so what would be the point of having either one of them?
And I seriously doubt the new CB will affect Surface sales...such as they are. Two different animals with different purposes. One is an actual computer, and the other is simply a Terminal. Everything old is new again...
Great move kids. Have this "big announcement" on 30 January showing this glintzy new OS and hardware...but...sorry for you folks in the US and other parts of the planet...you're not getting it until sometine in March.
Oh...and you PlayBook owners who have been hanging on for nearly TWO YEARS hoping for something to make it useful...well...your upgrage to BB10 will happen "...sometime after the BB10 phones are out."

Hardly rushing...BB10 was supposed to be out 1 year ago. Just more crappy marketing by BB.
Never really pushed the PlayBook when it first came out. No real mention of it today either...just more of the same from them.
And STILL no decent PB applications in their store...yet.

Very true. The lack of mainstream applications has been the issue for me. Bought mine in November of 2011, but it hasn't been much good to me, due to the lack of useful Enterprise level applications. I need the device to do more than just surf the Internet and play videos through my TV.
Until the Google Play Store is opened to the PB, so ALL of its applications will run on the PB, it will continue to be nothing more than an expensive paperweight to me.
