"To make things clearer for our customers"

According to T-Mobile's "08" website (http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/08/) this was a move to make things clearer for T-Mobile customers like me.

Well, thatnks T-Mobile, I've got the message loud and clear, I can stay here and get ripped off or move to O2 and get a new 3G iPhone for free, hmm...

What a great business plan - No wonder there is no customer loyalty in the Mobile service provider market any more.

@Lupus

Yes, Shell out £260 ot whatever for the 3G iphone on O2 PAYG, unlock it and use your cheap-as-chips T-Mobile Sim in it.

Also, if you are due an upgrade on your T-Mobile Contract (that RAZR must be getting on a bit by now) then get it, ebay it and use the cash to pay for the iPhone as AC suggested.

Plenty of other people wil be doing the same thing no doubt.

Alien

If there was no conspiracy...

..why have we not had full disclosure from the US government?

Whilst there will always be plenty of ignorant "bury my head in the sand" types that will believe anything their government tell them, the more intellegent among us will always question the validity of government claims that are either ludicrus (finding Mohmmed Atta's passport at ground zero) or at best questionable (the amazing vanishing plane that hit the Pentagon completely out of sight of all the Media cameras that were trained on the building at the time).

If it all happened just like the goverment said it did, give us the evidence and put an end to all the endless conspiarcy theories.

I have to stop typing now, aliens are invading my bedroom.

Stop

Hold on a second...

Don't apple already make an iPod with a brightly lit multi-coulur touchpad complete with user input feedback?

It's called the iPod Touch and I, for one, thought this was the future of Apple's Ipod interface - Isn't this patent something of a step backwards?

HP's storage gets a case of the greens

Great marketing spin

I can't imagine that I am the only person to notice the obvious marketing spin in this statement from HP:

"HP also claimed a green hue. Its new LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 tape drive consumes 50 per cent fewer watts per gigabyte than previous gear"

For those that missed it (including the usally very sharp Reg staff) LTO-4 technology offers twice the capacity of LTO-3 so it's probably not all that suprising that new LTO-4 drives (from HP or anyone else) consume 50% fewer watts per gigabyte.

In essence this statement just says that HPs new LTO-4 drives use exactly the same amount of power as their old ones, which hardly represents a step towards greener computing but no doubt looks impressive on a press release.
