Only one chat window

IRC wins by the very fact you can have several chat windows next to each other so you can multiple conversations at the same time. Newer chat apps are so inefficient to use.

What about short or long sighted people?

I am short sighted so glasses on when looking at TV, look down at the pad and I won't be able to see it properly.

This will be a problem for those that are long sighted as well.

This is normally not an issue if looking at pad for information etc as there is time to remove/change glasses, but during a fast paced game - deal breaker for the likes of me.

Dead? Really?

Console gaming dead? Halo 4 made sales worth 220 million dollars on it's first day! I can watch iplayer on my phone, does that mean my TV is dead as well?

Sure, the console may evolve into something else, but the equivalent of something that will run a full in your face video game is only just getting started. This could be a PC, console, fancy phone, whatever using a headset or big TV, but the types of games that inhabit the current mobile space will only switch more people onto fuller fat video games as they evolve as well.

Final Fantasy XIII-2

I am excited by this game

I thoroughly enjoyed FF XIII. And am looking forward to playing this. I haven't played any of the earlier incarnations of FF, though it is on my list to do so.

I like the game/movie hybrid feel to this series. Bit like chilling and watching telly with some gaming thrown in, a sprinkling of RPG and it looks pretty - what's not to like? I don't always want my heart racing in a game nor do I always want to have to make hardcore strategic decisions in commanding large military forces.

I thought the combat system in XIII was excellent and it seems that this has been kept with even more enhancements. Yes, you can auto battle your way through and enjoy the story, but you will certainly not 5 star every fight by using autobattle. My 14 year old son still looks at me with envy because I 5 starred the final boss in XIII. Of course, he just owns me on COD, GoW, etc!

A pint, because that is what I will be having while I sit back and watch the intro to my new game for this weekend.

I do not want my phone as a games console. The games console is for everyone in the household to use. It is rigged up to the big lovely display and my lad may want to play while I do work calls.

OK, I unplug my phone and he plugs his in and downloads his save from the 'net...Jeez what a palaver.

Personal devices as the primary way of accessing games at home..bah.
