Get it working on WinPhone hardware first...
Perhaps it would be more useful for Microsoft to work more closely with existing hardware suppliers in order to ensure that updating to the much touted Mango release isn't a complete disaster.
Borked my phone, needed to restore and have been unable to get to Mango with any stability. Phone reboots randomly.
Seems like the whole public beta strategy to me. Put it out there, see what happens. Which is more painful with a phone than a desktop or laptop, because of a heavier reliance on the phone.
