UK.gov's web filth block plan: Last chance to speak your brains

Facepalm

Who am I?

Where on earth in this consultation am I a 20 year old single man allowed to make my manifestation of free speech? It never gives me a chance to talk about whether I want MY internet censored, it just spends the whole time asking parents if they want to censor MY internet for me. It's crazy. That consultation is just trying to receive the responses it wants. I tried filling it in, and there's just no way I could and make it logical and legible at the same time. If someone could please inform the Department for Education for me that they are a bunch of nannying numpties I would be most thankful.

Virgin Media - Insulting advertising

Frankly, it doesn't matter what the advertised speed is, if the ISPs infrastructure isn't up to it. Virgin Media is completely oversubscribed in the area we live in and in the evenings we suffer up to 60% packet loss and speeds as low as 0.15mbps. Virgin Media have basically said they can't be bothered to do anything as essentially not enough people have complained, because they're all apathetic students.

Punters even more dissatisfied by Virgin Media's package

Virgin Media is absolutely shocking

I'm a student living in Bristol. We pay £28 a month for 30MBPS broadband. At peak times it is simply unusable, with up to 40% packet loss and a bandwidth of 0.16MBPS. It is truly abysmal. Virgin have said that the 'fix' date is today, but I don't believe anything is going to happen judging from the past posts on their forum. The international tech support is a joke and costs a ridiculous sum to ring from a mobile.

In Bristol they just oversold the package to all the students. The broadband was fine at the end of August, and crashed within the first couple of weeks of October. Guess what also started then. The new uni term!

I sent them a letter, and the response was insulting, offering me £14 off a bill. If we paid them for what we receive it would be more like £2 a month!
