Your *right* for *me* not to have something? Who the hell made you the arbiter of my possessions? And fyi, it's still perfectly legal for law-abiding citizens to own firearms in this country, with the appropriate certificates. And every kitchen has knives, whether *you* like it or not.
But carbon dioxide is heavier than air, which is why plants evolved to thrive on it. If anything, it's heating the ground. It's the dihydrogen oxide you should be worrying about when it comes to atmospheric heating, Shirley?
It's odd that the headline refers to bloggers in three countries being 'targetted' but only provides the details for one (UK) and cites that the "US Department of Justice Criminal Division had requested evidence"... does that mean the warrant was obtained and executed on behalf of the yanks? So much data appears to be missing from the story... oh pants, that'll probably make me a 'story denier' now.

Just to be consistent with the latest Register styleguide, you understand.

Sensational but not true. The particles arrived sooner than they would have had they travelled at the speed of light, but still *after* they were transmitted. They did not arrive before they set off, they did not 'journey into the past'.
What has mathematics got to do with the theory of evolution? Species mutate with every single generation, that's biology, it's got nothing to do with mathematics. Basing human population on some exponential mathematical formula is just plain daft; infant mortality has better than halved over the last 30 years alone, never mind the last 200,000. And that's without factoring recent developments like medicine and dentistry. Perhaps no-one dies in Mathworld?
