Re: Job Cuts?
I'm one of the lucky ones, I've found a rubber dingy and am now floating the good ship jobserve...

Mine does it, sounds like a capacitator is going to explode in the PSU. I put up with it as my superhub is in a cupboard under the stairs, but I do wonder what would happen if it did decide to explode... it's about a foot away from my fuseboard and 3 feet from my gas meter!
This thing is in 7% of European homes? BS! I don't know a single person with one. And if this gave Apple a third of the network-connected set top box market, that would imply around 20% of Europeans had a network connected device attached to their tv? If xbox, ps3 and wii are all excluded from this, it's just utter, utter BS.
I'm shocked how many Apple TV has sold (especially considering a near-idential product flopped just before the world went Apple-crazy).
True story - I sold my house in March and put all my stuff (inc my PS3) into storage. We finally moved into our new place last week, so yesterday I sat down to have a quick half hour gaming session. I had to install updates and therefore didn't get a game. This morning, I had another (rare) half hour free, so again turned on my PS3 and again had to install another update. I've still not played a game on my PS3 since March.
Sucks.

I disagree, I'd say "Typical Geek"... ie, someone who gets something, takes it apart, and rebuilds it to better suit their needs.
A "TYPICAL" android user takes their phone with whatever revision of Android it comes bundled with, whichever apps their manufacturer or network throw on it. A "geek" with an iPhone may well try to hack it to jailbreak their phone. People who do this on either platform are well in the minority.
Besides, modifying something to fiy your needs is hardly "arrogant". Ford sell millions of Fiestas every year - I'd say no more than a small minority install flamethrowers and spiked hub cabs. Does it make them either better or more arrogant people? Probably not, but they have a vehicle which suits them more than a bog-standard Fiesta.
