Customers reporting credit card fraud after using OnePlus webstore

Gavin Hamill

OnePlus

Ah that's interesting - I bought a 5T just before Christmas, and got a call from Nationwide saying they suspected fraud from the same card (it was used to buy £300 of stuff from Argos). I called Nationwide back on the public fraud number and it checked out.

I did wonder how anyone got that card number because I very rarely use it for anything other than chip+PIN, contactless or via PayPal...

Unimpressed

I had one of these for about a week before sending it back (Expansys run the UK "Honor Store" and the return process was smooth).

Lots of waiting for apps to open / switch. Everything felt too clumsy. Old Android version was unfortunate but not a deal breaker.

Worst was the thing is too damn big. I got a Nexus 5X (yeh, an extra hundred quid) instead and am much happier.

A shame - that fingerprint sensor had a nice swipe gesture :/

Where is Zen Internet in this advertorial?

Zen have been going since 1995, don't limit, don't police, don't get in the way and I would heartily recommend them having been a customer since the dial-up days!

Pricing?

I've been studiously ignoring the furious circle-jerk over VSAN since late last year. Show me the money!

Not cloud

vCHS (I was a beta tester) is not cloud - you buy a chunk of reserved capacity managed by vCloud Director in 3 or 12 month terms. Hardly 'spin up, spin down, pay for what you use'

No ability to use Veeam, Zerto or anything else that needs access to the underlying vSphere.

Samsung UE40D8000 - iPlayer

This telly does have BBC iPlayer - just irritatingly you can't get at it from the 'Smart Hub' - you have to push the red button on BBC One on Freesat.

Postpath + Mac

We bought the standalone Postpath product years ago and are still using it

Their current version still has no Mac support (beyond IMAP) .. it emulates Exchange 2003, but does not emulate Outlook Web Access, so neither Entourage nor recent Mail.app can get full groupware functionality...

Quite. The Beeb paid the bearded one a cool £1.8m to stop making Noel's House Party after its ratings fell through the floor... who'd have through he'd begrudge Auntie £120-odd ?
