In my day that was called revision. How is it any different then the teachers virtually spoon-feeding the answers in other subjects** If a kid has had the nous to look it up on Google for themselves then Good on 'em.. prepares them for a real world Job in tech

Beat me to it! I love strings ... It's the first tool I reach for. Half the time that's all you need to get a gist of what a binary is up to.

Reading his blog post I'd hardly say it was lashing out but elreg's artistic license is part of it charm so meh! In fact I don't see what point he's trying to make here especially ending with

I suspect he's correct... It's also the reason why we're fucked in the long term.

"Just Fucking Make It Work" is a phrase I've heard more than once when trying to do a "proper" job, either that or 14 developers quit in protest at the piss poor design some BA thought was a good idea.

The way I see it, this piece highlights a massive failing in our eduction system. If students aren't being made aware of the reality....... Just Know, Shit gets real, REAL quick! ,

They've never gone away mate! I was using them just the other month to get those Huawei 3G Dongles going on various android devices... Blast from the Past.

Used to get on the "information superhighway" via a local bbs who had something silly like 10 Line Ring Down, It was a Text Only affair at 28.8, Actually nothing much changes because I was using Lynx on the RaspPi just yesterday and 3UK data connectivity feels like dialup sometimes. :)
