Telecom people should look at rural buildout costs avoided and repair costs reduced. All the farmland and small towns they won't have to build towers for will be a tremendous cost savings. And if a current cell tower goes down, they have to send a crew out right away. With satellite emergency coverage an evening outage can wait until early morning. Or look at the Portugal / Spain outage. Thousands of cell towers down, at least let them text other people until power comes back up.

The original design of one hour time zones meant mean solar noon would be up to 1/2 hour from clock noon, if the boundaries were evenly spaced at 15 degree intervals.. Actual initial boundaries had some locations approaching 1 hour. Time zones creeping eastward have resulted in over 1 hour difference. Daylight savings time can bring this up to 2 hours. Then China went from 5 time zones to 1 time zone and you have an international boundary with Afghanistan with a 3 hour time change. By the time we accumulate 3600 seconds for a 1 hour change (about 7000 years), we could just skip the DST change in the appropriate direction, or non-DST locations schedule a time zone change.

I am wondering if we will need to downgrade the Big Bang (created universe and all matter we can detect) to a Large Bang (an explosion within an existing universe and additional matter outisde the range we can detect at this point.

A 2 ft by 6 ft airplane door is 12 * 144 =1728 sq inches.Say 12 psi inside and 7 psi outside, about 8640 pounds holding the door closed. A 2 ft round hatch is about 576 * Pi / 4 about 450 sq inches * 3 psi would be 1500 pounds.

Did they check DAILY how many bad sectors they had on the SSD Flash memory? They have a limited number of writes and when the number of bad blocks start to rise you have to replace the SSDs.
