Re: will the USA judiciary reimburse his expenses?

Sure, maybe. It will take many years to wind through the system after he tries to sue them. Cost will be astronomical and must be paid in advance. Absolutely no guarantee he will win.

I wonder about the little tracker. There must some way to hack it. I have an old GPS watch and I can fool it pretty easily. Radio reflects all sorts of ways. Metal buildings and Airports come to mind.

Something I just remembered

I stumbled on something in my Brain Mapping research. This is the real thing.

There is a new study showing how they have found at least 50 new genes that affect intelligence. The is a very big thing. Intelligence is widely distributed through the entire genome, perhaps even the X and Y genes ☺

See the actual study HERE

In the study go to page 1111 (number at the bottom right of study page)

Then look at section D on that page. That is a list of the negative and positive correlations with intelligence. The upper part is negative. Keep in mind that Trump's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Check down the negative list.

Then look at the positive list at the bottom. That mostly describes me including being 6'2", weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces at birth, have great difficulty finding hats that fit, have never smoked cigarettes (addictive behaviour, I do not drink alcohol or use any drugs at all), My father is 97, mother a bit less in a few weeks and also have 3 more relatives in their 90's. The anorexia and autism do not apply to me but they are lower probability anyway. I also weigh 150 lbs, same as when I was 20. I happen to have quite long fingers too. ☺

This explains a lot.

The source link is where I have also been published, HERE

My current work will most like be published there in the next season.

I agree. I worked at the Berkeley Rad Lab when I was 14 to 15.

TheElder

Re: you can't observe anything directly

Yes it does excite the retina. But it also excites neurons in the parietal lobe, the visual system in the brain. I am currently doing brain mapping at the local university.

TheElder

How many particles are there?

Lethal dose of neutrinos says that one supernovae may emit 10^57 neutrinos.

This location says there are 3.28 x 10^80 particles in the observable Universe.

This location says that a neutrino is a particle, of course.

From the number of particles calculation site:

The physics professor developed a way to estimate the total number of particles in the universe, not counting photons or neutrinos, due to their lack of or near-lack-of mass.

Sorry, but the 10^80 is incorrect. Mass is massive no matter how light it each bit is. That includes photons since they have no rest mass but they do have energy and energy = mass. That is why photons have momentum.

Never mind so called "black matter", how many particles are there?

TheElder

Re: you can't observe anything directly

Yes you can. Cosmic rays can and do directly affect the visual pathway neurons. That is as direct as possible.

Cosmic ray visual phenomena

Cosmic ray visual phenomena, or "light flashes" (LF), are spontaneous flashes of light visually perceived by some astronauts outside the magnetosphere of the Earth, such as during the Apollo program. While LF may be the result of actual photons of visible light being sensed by the retina, the LF discussed here could also pertain to phosphenes, which are sensations of light produced by the activation of neurons along the visual pathway.

What is wrong with this guy?

If a bunch of people, who are not law enforcement officers arrived at my house and start telling me that I must let them in, I'd simply shut the door. If they get a foot in the door and try to force their way in, I'd defend myself.

Precisely. While we cannot have a loaded shotgun handy in this country there is nothing wrong with the three pound loaded hammer at my feet. Hopefully the foot is wearing metal toed boots. Those toes will be trapped almost permanently... I also have some bear spray. It is only for bears, never humans. That is what it says on the can. I am also allowed to use it on cougars and even sharks...

Autonomous driving in a city? We're '95% of the way there'

TheElder

..up to level 5.

In the past I have done driver education. It isn't the approved method but it works very well.

I have driven very large 4x4s with front and rear crash bars very long distances on very low traffic hiways. I always drive the speed limit or very close to it. Frequently those in some sort of hurry will tailgate. When they are so close I cannot see their headlights I have been known to tap the brakes, pedal to the metal for a moment. I try to imagine the tiny sports car wrapped around the crash bar but I let off the brake just in time.

Then when they finally are able to pass and they give me the middle digit I make sure they can see me laughing. Also, when I know there is a Constable On Patrol behind me I drive the precise speed limit. They will often fall far back and use me as a speed calibration for anyone that pulls onto the road right behind me and then passes me. They wave as they go by to thank me. I worked with them that way for many years.

Also, another way to avoid a speeding ticket is quick and easy. I studied psychology in school. When you see an enforcer slowing down to turn around to follow you just wave to them and smile as they go by. This confuses them, perhaps they know you.

When a big logging truck is tailgating I will very very gradually slow down, bit by little bit. Then when we get to a place with no passing lanes and going up a long hill they are already in the proper gear and hill climbing velocity. I think I am doing them a favour... Then I accelerate. They will never catch me again. One did try one time (he was empty). He insisted on following me. I led him to a place that would spray a lot of gravel against his headlights and windows, then really hit the gasoline.

Vehicles with very big engines and crash bars are fun to drive in many different ways. I will NEVER want a self driving idiot that is easy to damage. I am a teacher.

TheElder

Testing location

They need to do some realistic testing. Never mind driving someplace like the streets in Snafu Francisco or the back roads of Heidelberg.

Someplace like this would be a good test.

Re: Depends on the Human

I have driven well over a million kilometres with a perfect driving record. Not even a speeding ticket in the last 40 years. Not even a parking ticket. I have never touched another vehicle on the road except once. When I was quite young I was turning right in the city . A guy tried to sneak past me in the parking lane. He would have just barely cleared but I allowed my vehicle to drift a few centimetres ahead. It made this beautiful deep scratch along the entire length of his new car. No damage on my 88" Series II Land Rover.

TheElder

Earth is unique

I often wonder just how common our planet is. There are so many things that if you change them just a little bit we die or never exist. Just the Moon could be huge problems if it was a bit different or if it never existed. Then there are things like killing the dinos. Five going on six extinctions. All the asteroid issues. It is a very long list. Maybe we really are very lonely.

Scary news: Asteroid may pass Earth by just 6,880km in October

TheElder

The n body problem does not have an analytical solution. The numerical solutions converge very slowly. However the 2 body problem does have a solution. The closer it is to Earth the more the other bodies may be ignored.

Personally, I very much prefer the 2 body problem since convergence is easy to calculate and can be as fast as you wish (or slower).
