Gosh, I thought Uni IT bosses were simply self-aggrandising out-of-touch tweed-wearing buffoons.
I had no idea they had a commercial streak as well! ;)

FFS Sony, here's a lesson from history - Grundig! Just don't, OK. In their case though, seems the Turks rescued them but they were awfully close to generic-rebadging oblivion....
Better to wig out and buy some wild-tech startups -for the tech, not the patents- and push the tech as far as humanly possible and beyond, at least folks will remember "those crazy Sony guys" fondly!
Embrace-extend-supernova!
Try Secure Entry Client from NCP? http://www.ncp-e.com Not free but good, can try as demo ;)
Seemed real solid when I used it to connect to old Cisco IPSec VPN box.
You may need to import your existing connection config or settings file, or get help from an admin.
Folks saying it might work with Nortel especially if IPSec, with SSL, don't know.
Works fine with Win7 and 64-bit OSs, unlike many of the OEM clients!
Also there is Shrewsoft http://www.shrew.net/ may need some tweaking to make it work but it is free.
Alternatively, it's possible to do SSL over PPP VPN (SSTP) on Win Server2008 but you may need Vista (phooey!) or Win7 (hurray!) clients.
There is also OpenVPN but that is a whole other kettle of fish.
Also, maybe they can get you a nice little B&W laser printer to go with the laptop? Cheap per page...
There's a nice stone pillar with a circular groove worn in the stone floor around it at Dragsholm Castle if the Swedes want to help with accommodation.
Come to think of it, maybe Mr Assange is worried about this for bizarre historical similarities, Bothwell (Earl Of, i.e. James Hepburn) - had lady-trouble there too ;)
So, Kaspersky and ESET (NOD32) are both bad companies because there might be scammers elsewhere in their country, or in nearby poorer ones :)
ESET are in Bratislava, Slovakia where they also make Cayenne/Touareg/Q7 so they'ŗe tarred with that brush too, poor guys, we know it isn't your fault really ;)
But on the plus side they don't farm out their coding to useless 3rd-world body shops for cost or more likely brown-paper-envelope reasons, they have some self-respect ;)
I would suggest Nokia need to quickly upgrade the Harmattan/Maemo N9 which the Lumia is almost 100% based on, it's a bit of a cult item in the non-core Euro markets where Nokia are allowing it to be sold, it may well need 2 cores and some other changes to keep up soon, although the OS is pretty efficient, apparently the rumour is that quite a few are being ordered and shipped internationally by desperate punters...... OK this doesn't help LG so much ...
Can I just say the LG Optimus Sol with Android is fab for the price and hard to see how even their own WinPhones could compete directly with that. It's not tough like maybe a more expensive HTC with alloy frame, but the LG's front glass is also Gorilla-ed and the display is awesome. I can only imagine how good a higher-range LG would be. LG, where's my fee? !!
Change your surname completely in several different directions for fun on some of the applications to see what the differences might be...... in fact, just make your whole name the same as a notorious gangster from the recruiter's home town, tell them you "don't do that messy stuff anymore" ;)
I'll take this one ;)
While it's technically possible your company may have sited its office there on a mission to specifically hunt down all the Admiral Grace Hoppers of the subcontinent, I feel they may actually be interested in other criteria, hence the population distribution of the office oddly more resembling the non-IT part of the population :P
Isn't the basic deal that any subjects that might be imagined to have a significant component of maths or have definite exam (shock!) answers that aren''t a matter of debate, and also can't easily be learned by rote or submitted slowly in low volume as part of term-based-modules, are avoided? Have to say a lot of guys have headed down this route too, generally because they were slackers at heart - History of Art and Royals anyone? ;)
Cervices free at the point of delivery.
Someone should turn up as an Amish-style Gotland "farmer" and "demand satisfaction" for his tax money, just for laughs, or a bet, the pain might be worth it if he can sit down and get some beers after ;) Nurse, Mr Juntti is here for his appointment-his family are originally from Finland so he wont understand you very much, sorry dear! Check your "what?"
"About 50 percent of chemicals, both natural and synthetic, that have been tested in standard, high-dose, animal cancer tests are rodent carcinogens."
"99.9 percent of the toxic chemicals we're exposed to are completely natural -- you consume about 50 toxic chemicals whenever you eat a plant."
