"Muslims of your ilk want to claim that Islam is the one true religion"

An anonymous poster disagress with you and posts a link showing that not everyone on the planet agrees with your point of view, and from that you not only infer that they're a Muslim but make very specific assumptions their beliefs so that you segue into a whinge about people of that "ilk"?

Take own name, come up with crap pun, throw website together around it

Based on that premise, here are some other coalition efforts either available now or in development:

TheresaMayzing.com - Whilst this is supposedly an unofficial fansite dedicated to the Home Secretary, the long essays on her greatness regularly slip in to first person, and many of the intimate photos on the site appear to be self portraits taken in front of a bathroom mirror.

tgtp://cablesandwires.com - Vince Cable's attempt at a twitter style site, the USP will be that users are only able to post by telegram.

haveyoubeentotheHague?.com - Personal website of William Hague, which is every bit as disturbing as the name suggests. Fortunately rendered inaccessible by the illegal domain name.

camera-on.gov.uk - Chatroulette style website in which registered users may or may not be being watched by the prime minister through their webcams at any time. Described by a number 10 spokesperson as "A great way of engaging with the electorate, and not at all creepy", participation for all citizens is set to become mandatory as of last April.

(At time of writing Jeremy Hunt was still inviting suggestions for punning website names he could use).

@AC 07:48

Your tautology, overuse of ellipses, implication that the UK government is blameless in agreeing and maintaining the absurd extradition treaty and your claim that "America has given us ... Aids" are all intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I'm not familiar with the international rules, but presumably unless you're the nub holder I can still take us back to the northern line? Therefore: Clapham Common.

UK cops disciplined, sacked, quit over Facebook misdeeds

@Nights_are_Long

1. This story isn't about holding police to different standards to the rest of us. Surely if any of us were stupid enough to go on Facebook and boast about unpleasant and/or illegal behaviour in the workplace we would expect to be sanctioned.

2. In general we *should* be holding the police to a higher standard than Joe Public. Just as (in sentencing terms) assaulting or otherwise harming a police office is considered more serious than a similar attack on any other member of the public, police offiers behaving in immoral or illegal ways should be treated more seriously than any other member of the public doing so as the consequences are potentially very serious. An assualt on the police is an attack on basic law and the principles of society, and police officers behaving immorally whilst on duty is just as dangerous.

3. The story included the relevant stats to contextualise the figures, so not sure why you think anyone is condemning "a whole public service".

We seem to have reached the point...

... where the press are more interested in "An electronic device called my child a c**t" stories than in "A footballer ****ed my c**t" stories. Not sure whether this represents progress or the nadir of Western civilization.

That's just a great way to start a post. I like to imagine you've been lurking here since about 1997 waiting for the right story to come up to use it.
