What's the point of patents if they are not exercising them, having gone through the "expensive" process of trying to protect their intellectual properties.
Patents for different sectors/industries should be revised otherwise as others have pointed out, they are just going to stifle innovations. Companies or individuals should rightfully be rewarded for coming out something innovative. But a balance needs to be struck on all these software, UI patents...
