Phab-u-less: Huge MONSTER iPhone 6 not due until 2015 – claim

Sandman619o1

iPhone's Annual Rumor Mill

It's a fact that every year, months before the iPhone might be released, a claim hits the media that the iPhone is going to be delayed by many months due to a manufacturing issue. Guess what, the closest was the white iPhone which Apple did delay due to the while leaking light, maybe. Truth is that usually theses rumors are false and it's likely that this one is as well.

Microsoft's EAT-your-OWN-YOUNG management system AXED

Making the right decisions

She was tasked with developing the new system. Being in charge of Human Resources, that's a fairly sensible move. She probably hated the old system as it increased their turnover so her staff were constantly counseling staff & searching for replacements. Balmer, who brought the idea to microsoft & is leaving, would be the least best choice since he has little capital with his employees

PR people 'put duty to the public ahead of employers' interests'

PR

Those nasty 'white papers' & similar trash are paid placement, which means the site is being paid to offer this trash to its readers. Paid placement is either a marketing function or their advertising firm. Either way, that stuff is annoying. PR people help connect writers with leaders of industry for fresh quotes to make their stories shine. Writers don't normally have the ability to call a CEO & get a quote to help lend authenticity to an article. Instead, their contact is the PR staff or firm for that company. Even the major news media work this way. A good PR effort will never be noticed in the story. Bad PR efforts are like getting root canal from a used car sales man. If I was stranded on an island I'd rather have the company of a good PR person than a salesman any day

Fraudsters phish for NatWest clients with 'Stephen Hester' email

Sandman619o1

A good way to determine whether an email is coming from a fraudulent source, is to tap or click & hold on the email address of the sender. If it looks funky, like the email address doesn't have the company's name at the end or it looks like jibberish, then it's most likely a fake. Also, beyond email, there are ways of getting you to release important info about yourself or your financial accounts. I recently received a robocall about an account that I has opened @ Bank of America. At first I tought I was legit, until I realized that no bank will contact a customer in the middle of the night. They had probably correctly assumed that they would get more people to participate if they called while people are sleeping & not thinking as clearly

Apple land-grabs fuel cells for mobiles

Sandman619o1

So basically, Apple is scoring fuel cell patents as they innovate in an area where other handset makers are ignoring at the moment. Why shouldn't they be rewarded for their R & D efforts ?Eventually, the handset makers will climb aboard once Apple releases this tech on their platform. Sounds like this is an example of the early bird catching the worm

Apple's iCloud runs on Microsoft and Amazon services

iCloud…

It's too bad that Apple couldn't apply its knowledge & experience gained from iTunes to iCloud. Such a pity. That must also mean that their N C data center with all of its computers & expensive stuff, which Steve Jobs highlighted during his iCloud presentation is just going to turn to rust. Hmmm…
