btw...not all police are bad....just as not all citizens are bad. There are bad people in every profession.....doctors, lawyers, teachers. etc. Don't be dumb enough to think otherwise. Keep in mind that on a daily basis...most police may deal with the worst of society multiple times. You only have to deal with the police on occasion. Be respectful and you will receive the same.

Blame game. Did an ATT exec push the workers off the tower? Any job today is a balance between time and cost. In the end...the tower worker is the one making the choice and is solely in control of every step/ladder rung they climb.

If you REALLY want to place blame of a tower workers death...(without knowing what really was the cause....carelessness on workers part.? etc.), Then why not place blame on those directly responsible for the increased need in cell towers. Everyone using a cell phone today.
This growing trend to seek blame for an individuals experience is a growing tend fueled by the lawyers of today. I can tell you where it started....When a woman made the decision to place a hot cup of coffee in her lap while driving her car....and her stupid CHOICE resulted in a successful million dollar legal suit against McDonalds. When people strive for personal profit from a company due to the individuals carelessness/stupidity... that's why we have more stupid people today. We need to let nature take its course and let the stupid people fade into the dark.
If AT&T has more work projects going on than any other company...then its statistically reasonable that of all ATT contracts..there were a % higher than others. In this world we each make choices....you needs to learn to live with it and stop trying to blame others for YOUR choices. Else you lead the government to take control of all lives and YOUR not capable of doing for yourself. Just a reminder...Capital Gains are only realized when stock is actually sold. If this guy NEVER sells his stock...then there are zero realized dollars to charge a Capital Gains tax.

I've lived in the US most of my life....and many Americans tend to be a "Do as I say...not as I do" nation. The increasing levels of government restriction is getting to the point that I am thinking of leaving as well. The government is moving towards forced charity to support the growing lazy and inept population. Instead of telling the inept to make an effort to become self-sufficient and self-reliant. America is a bad parent who avoids addressing the REAL problems and chooses to get others to care for the lazy and inept. America is Passing the buck and avoids the reality of its society's failings.
This is NOT the greatest nation in the world anymore. The continued lowering of general social expectations...and lack of personal self-responsibly is a constant disappointment. Instead of trying to grab for other peoples money....the government needs to get on track and boost the economy, address illegals. No country is perfect, but America is NOT facing the reality of its demise
I expect to see more Americans leaving as this society continues it's downward spiral. The government is trying to get the wealthy to support those who make zero effort to be self-reliant/self-sufficient. People need to grow up and take care of themselves. It's NOT my responsibility to support others, while they sit on their A$$ and make zero effort to contribute towards supporting themselves. I would be interested in knowing how easy it would be for a consumer to upgrade the ram/SSD in this. Are the SSD/Memory proprietary as in the MB Air? I've found it less expensive overall, to upgrade system memory after the purchase.

I couldn't care less......if all your going to say is. ....I'd buy something else. Your statement is insignificant in my mind as you fail to provide any level of reasoning. I have NO doubt all Apple fans would opt for a macbook over anything else.....with out being able to justify it. Cult followers have zero logic...because they are followers and do as told.

You can't compare the UK with the US. The general ethics of the US society is not remotely close to the UK or Canada.
In the US, the standards of society are dropping. Race is such an issue that most give in to lowering standards....just so headcounts can match up. True equality, would eliminate race all-together, but then everyone would be expected to be self-responsible and self-reliant. There IS a large number of people (all races) in the US who want things given to them...without working, and they have zero ethics/morals when it comes to getting what they want.
My parents are both from the UK and I was born in Canada. I've lived in the US most of my life and I feel the US is in a downward spiral. I feel it is quite possible that I will leave the US if things continue as they are.

Because the US is the WORST at actually enforcing the death penalty in any way that resembles timely consequences for taking a life. Many, many cases go on for 15 to 20 years before the killer is actually executed. There is NO swift justice...even when it's clearly beyond the shadow of a doubt. Mean-while, the killer is living on the states dime. 3 hot meals a day, shelter, individual bed, clean sheets, warmth, clothing, exercise and media access. Yes, its supposed to be punishment, but I'm willing to bet the US has the most comfortable prisons on the planet. When one of the Somalia pirates was sentenced to 15 years in US Prison, I read he had a smile on his face. The bulk of our prisons are a joke, because most liberals feel it would be cruel and unusual punishment to withhold access to services many law abiding citizens don't have access to. We have people who don't have quality housing, eat less than quality food, have no guaranteed access to healthcare, etc. US Prisons are for the most part....a great place for those who have zero desire to be self-sufficient. Our most famous sheriff...Sheriff Joe gets razed because He actually makes time in his jail feel like a punishment. Pink garments, chain gangs, some live in tents....which is a great way to address over crowding. $250.00 tent and you can house two or more inmates. America is being run more and more by individuals who do not care about whats right or just. They care about votes...and some states even allow illegal immigrants to vote....then no politician wants to piss any potential voters off. Personally, I think most of the self-sufficient people will slowly migrate....either north....or out of the US all together. 20-30 years from now....see if I'm right.
Speaking of Anti-Trust, I find it unbelievable that Apple HAS NOT been taken through the same wringer that MS was. Apple has the MOST exclusive/closed system to days. MS never prevented users from installing and using other browsers.
Now just try and load content onto any of you Iproducts without using Itunes. Even just to sample a piece of music...I was prompted to load Itunes. Of course, I immediately left Apples site and tried in on Amazon and Google Play. I was able to sample music for certain artists at both sites, without having to install proprietary programs. You can't say that about Apple.
It's only a matter of time before Apple's fans wake up to realize the level of control/lack of freedom Apple wields over its flock. Apple knows the general consumer is weak minded and easily bends to Apple controls. How else can you explain Jobs openly criticizing his flock for "Holding it wrong". Jobs clearly saw the general public as mostly stupid and naive. Apple continues to prove him write. Zombies in lines.

Apple and AT&T specifically push the use of the iphone by your children. Just refer to the "who wants to limit the Iphone" advertisement. That specifically shows a small child quietly playing on and Iphone while the parent works in the background on 'something more important than their child'. This ad subliminally communicates to any parent...give your iphone to your child...and you'll have a few minutes of peace and quiet.
Apple is feeding this kind of use...yet claims ignorance when called out on it. Yes, I think this lawsuit is a bit much, but I think APPLE HAS IT COMING. They are the biggest abuser of lawsuits currently, so Karma Baby.

An IPhone, or any other smart phone is NOT supposed to be a toy. But Apple and AT&T push that it is....in their ads. For example, the advert showing an innocent/quite child, playing on an IPhone, while the parent sits in the background...working on whatever....and the words 'why would you want to limit the iPhone'.
Apple LOVES it when this kind of purchasing practice occurs, because they are getting money from every direction. Don't be so naive.

While I DON'T use FB. I do understand the reasons compnaies are concerned/interested in how a potential employee will represent the company. NO company want's to deal with PR issue due to an employee's FB posting/photo.
Dumb HR / Interviewers. Just ask the prospect to log in to their FB account during the interview. NO company can/should ask for an individuals personal PWD.
Another solution...have the new hire sign a contact that they accept responsibly and will quite if a FB posting becomes public and damages the companies image/reputation. .
TOO many "sue happy" lawyers....makes for this kind of dumb inquiry necessary. Because the bulk of the General public....are stupid.

I'll never own an Apple product, but then Apple does not make any one product that another option is available....and that I would want. Only the technical ignorant would think that only Apple has these devices/technology.
The LG Smart TV will stream movies, photos, and music from my WHS using the DNLA feature which is becoming more common with smart TV's. Why use a proprietary system which limits you, when you can use a more open source design that allows you the power to chose your media information/entertainment. Current smart TV's allow you to stream content from Netflix, amazon, hulu, and local servers. Over time...firmware updates will allow greater options for this.
Guaranteed...Apple TV will only provide content through Apples market place. Apple LOVES the power/control it wields over its followers. "If we build it...they will buy it...over and over again" mentality. Slapping the internals of an iphone/ipad into a tv is not an innovation, but does provide an expected progression...but Apple will rape and pillage its followers wallets along the way.
I haven't heard about this before...and I'm NOT interested in the video...but if He was filmed...then its a part of his life and what he did, then get over it.

If Apple can sell an IPADI or IPADII, even after replacing it with the 3rd generation....they will. Simple fact is that Apple has no problem selling older hardware to anyone willing to buy it. Apple has just started selling its reconditioned hardware ...and still it's more expensive over many Android tablets. Anyone wanting to buy an Apple IPAD (Any version)...that doesn't currently have one...will be satisfied with old technology...just to have their own Apple IPAD. Apple doesn't play favorites...even clueless people can buy their products. :-)
Apple also likes to -re-sell to its current customers. Those willing to give thier money to Apple...again and again and again. If Apple was a decent company, they'd give a trade-in price and then could resell used IPADS for a more reasonable cost. They're NOT any different from any other company out there. Just amuses me when people think they are.
This is a waste of time and ONLY serves the lawyers and the media companies. Next they'll come knocking at your door for using your DVR or all the VHS tapes you made taping shows or movies broadcast over the air waives. The reality is...if your not going to buy a movie...then your not going to buy it. These downloads of pirated movies CANNOT be seen as lost income. The quality is typically poor and any movie enthusiast want's the best quality possible.
The prices are still so high...I only buy used DVD's when I buy.
Why does Apple have the first spot? WD Live and the others have been more successful in the market place...it's only that those who lack any tech knowledge would only recognize Apple's name?

I'm still in disbelief how Apple has still not been sued for the locked down environment it commands over people who seem blinded by flashy fashion focused shells. Your nuts. How many products does Apple sell? Thier NOT growing. But they can re-sell similar products to Apple fashionistas. The phone4S is the 41/2 reiteration of the same product. Apple uses the same technology in three of its product line. Itouch, Iphone, and Ipad use same technology and each new version just adds the latest that was put out in the other products. All use the same IOS. difference between ipad and ipad2 ..... Ada camera and newer CPU/GPU, Difference between iphone4 and iphone4s? camera and cpu/gpu.... Each product has incremental improvements from the last. Apple hasn't come out with any completely new products for quite sometime. They don't even manufacture thier own stuff. The CPU in IPAD2 is a re-branded A9.
Apples only true innovation is creating fashionable looking products, but they sell them at twice the cost. Look up what a macbook specs are and what PC laptops cost.

Most of the general consumers will have NO idea what is inside the computer/phone. Apple sells like car salesmen. Their just using existing technology from the IPAD2 and putting it into the phone. Really clever if you think about it. They know they have a certain click of consumers that will buy their products, no matter what the cost or real improvements. Reselling old hardware to the masses that have limited budgets.....but apple has already re-couped their R&D costs on the older components. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Apples beef is about looks and has nothing to do with real technology theft. Any consumer is NOT going to be 'Tricked' into buying a Galaxy if they want an Apple product, but Apple is desperate to restrict options to the general public. You can't even use an Apple IPAD without registering it first..... Not roadblocks when using Android based tablets, but Apple hasn't been sued YET for the incredible restrictions it places on its consumers. I'm just dumbfounded how MS gets sued over a web-browser and Apple doesn't get jack over the numerous restrictions it enforces on its consumers. Plenty of other options available on the web for music. And I DON"T mean Apples Itunes. I'll also NEVER own an Apple product either. I simply choose to NOT bend to the will and control of these restrictive companies.
We all have individual choices we make in our daily lives. Don't be content to let others make these decisions for you.
I just tweaked my Netflix account to DVD only. Not interested in using two sites which is Netflix's direction for streaming and DVD rental. I CAN get other content via the web and Over the Air programming. I canceled my Cable TV subscription over a year ago and haven't looked back. Just kept the cable internet and I'm more than satisfied with entertainment selection and saving big $$$. Cable and Netflix priced them-selves out of my market.
If Apple can get the police to watch guard while they search a house for a misplaced phone, then you know that Apple greased some wheels with top executives in this company.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. Just need to know what the cost was to finish the story.
Apple needs to come up with some new ideas about creating BUZZ on its upcoming phones. This method is boring. Personally, I couldn't care less about the upcoming iphone. Most likely Apple will be adding features that will be on the Next incarnation of the ITouch anyway. After 4 versions....not any significant improvement from one to the next. I guess I'm not as easily impressed at seeing Apples technology springing up in multiple products running the same IOS. Come on Apple. Time for something REALLY new.

Apple has become something of dictator and is demanding its taxes for all within its community of users. 30% seems to be Apples favored take on anything it decides to make available to its community of users. When will this content monopoly be taken to the courts? I'm just dumbfounded how long Apple has gotten away with the limits/restrictions its imposing.
I'll NEVER own an Apple product. I appreciate freedom of choice and I get that with my Xoom and can easily build a computer for less than half the cost of an Apple computer.
I'm awaiting the time when Apple is taken to court for its continued isolation/control of what/how items can be loaded on to IPADs.

What people love to do is embellish the impact this "Salesman" had on the computing world. Jobs DID NOT invent the computer...He didn't even design or build the AppleI/II computers. It was Steve Wozniak who did. WOZ is the real genius behind the early Apple development. An example of Jobs true business ethics......He enlisted WOZ (a friend) to help with a project JOBS was responsible for when JOBS worked at Atari. Jobs proposed a 50% share to WOZ for helping with the project. Part of the deal Atari made with Jobs was a $100 bonus for each chip reduced from the final product. WOZ did the work after hours from his Full-time Job at HP and in the end, the bonus was $5,000. In 1979 this is a tremendous amount. Jobs failed (STOLE) to give WOZ 50% of the bonus. Jobs basically stole money from a 'friend' and passed the final product onto Atari as his own work. More recently, Jobs bypassed hundreds of patients awaiting liver donors. He is an unethical Salesman and is not worthy of respect...at least not mine. I understand companies are in business to make money, but lets not make the man appear as a god. He's a man with little ethics and more than willing to steal and take credit for work HE DID NOT DO. He didn't invent many of the products Apples sells, but He WILL take credit for it. Karma baby, Karma.
