I re-read the article, assuming I'd missed the point of it, but no, it seems there is no effort to make any comment on sound quality at all! Actually, having re-read it, I don't think Mr Hemphill was ever in possetion of the item in question - everything in the article could be quite easily deduced from reading the blurb on the companies website - dimensions, price, promo pictures would all be there.. Surely the 'Hard Facts' include the sound quality?!

So, El Reg, what's the point? And how on earth do you get to 85% without even judging the sound quality?!

Expensive, small mAh, output Amps?

I've got the TeckNet iEP387 (snappy) which was £25 from Amazon, is 7000mAh and has twin USB ports at 1A or, if you only use 1 USB port, it will supply 2A. Granted, it won't fully charge an iPad but does fully charge my HTC Sensation 3-4 times and quicker than most other things (including most wall chargers!) Build quality is good and it's got a status indicator on the front - perfect :)

Looks like a nice little device though, would do as a good remote for the XBMC media centre or maybe a DLNA TV - not much point in watching anything on the little screen though.. Would be interested to see how much light it actually produces when you're asleep - i.e. is the screen backlight on when the clock is on - my guess is that it will be and that it'll be quite annoying..

And the price point.. Needs to be sub £100 and probably even lower than that to sell any volume.. One day, there'll be a little green man in all my home appliances.. ;)

No external storage - not very 'Media Edition' in my opinion..

So once I've put on a few albums, a TV series and a few films, I'll be out of space - I've got a 32GB MicroSD in my Sensation and that's well over half full, without the videos!

A very strange choice for what would otherwise be maybe the perfect tablet..

So yes, the device is rubbish but then so is your review. Your language is no better than that of the teenagers who will receive the device and the pictures that aren't stock are presumably taken on your Jesus phone? I hope the rest of your work is better than this tripe - go out and review things properly, or can't you be bothered to be a proper journalist?
