Not sure what the craic is with the article boxes, some are equally spaced across 4 boxes, then the row underneath have been shrank down so you could fit, maybe, 5 under neath?

Like the idea of the most read section being bigger. Although I think the articles are a bit lost further down the page.

If you're going for this card format of articles, it'd be better to have them differentiated better. So like I said with the Most Read section, I know where it starts but does it continue to the bottom of the page?

OK, I'm guessing I came to it a bit later than you did.

All fair reasons really, although I thought NixNote was on the Debian repo. I can't reliably confirm that off hand though.

As an aside, I know one guy who basically did that Chrome App trickery with Evernote and made it a web app on his machine. But obviously if your business scenario couldn't use that then it's also useless. Which is a real shame.

You've got the wrong end of the stick. Rottweilers are chosen due to their presence and the strength of their bite. Not the fact that they're natural born killers. Most rotties I've come across that are pets will lick you to death. That's really the only bad thing about them, the slobber.

Went to the Dogs Trust 18 months ago to get a dog. The wife wanted a Minute Dachshund, and the lady at the centre warned us that the dog we were looking at had been returned twice because it was aggressive to people and now only a handful of centre staff could go in the kennel with it. Fair enough, what about the Chihuahua that my wife saw on the website? Same story.

My wife has no interest in getting a dog now, but I had seen a staffy online and asked about it. I asked to see it, the wife came along not bothered at all (actually not wanting the dog). She was gorgeous, playful, everything a staffy should be. I put my £110 down, came back a week later with my new staffy. The wife didn't want the staffy as she thought they were mean nasty killer dogs.

18 months on, the wife told me last night she couldn't think of ever living without a dog now. She adores the staffy, even if it still pisses and shits everywhere. But she's not aggressive to a fault. The neighbours cat regularly takes pop shots at her and she runs away. But then goes back to play with it.

Don't be a clown.

You're allowed to own a firearm in the UK, either a shotgun or a rifle. You have to be a member of a shooting club to get the license, and the license gets renewed every two years (I think).

The Karl Bridgwater case did a lot to nail down the responsibilities of gun owners and home owners. In that case, as you might remember, the farmer said he shot Karl in self defence. However, the prosecution reasoned that Karl was shot in the back, so he was running away. If he's running away, then there is no longer an immediate threat to life to the home owner. So the farmer in this case (as far as I'm concerned) was wrong to shoot him. If Karl had attacked him with a crowbar then it's self defence. Otherwise it isn't.

Even as recently as a few months ago when the pensioner stabbed the burglar. He was arrested and investigated because, thankfully, no one can just claim self defence when it was a pre-mediated murder.

Well, lets be honest. Israel have been killing Palestinians for years for those villagers to live on land that doesn't belong to them. They weren't members of Hamas either and have reported as such. They were innocent human beings forced in to something akin to South African apartheid, against their wishes, which is resembling genocide every month.

In about 2013 I went to Currys to buy a TV. Saw one, and me being me I decided to haggle to get a deal on it.

The guy I was dealing with said no, no deal. Don't even bother, no money is coming off this TV. I told him that wasn't very sporting of him, and he said "Well Curry's don't have to worry about the high street competition. Where else are you going to buy a TV? Comet?"

"I can get that TV from the internet for £50 less" I told him

"Yeah but you have to get it delivered, this you can buy now and watch tonight."

I left him to it. Safe in the knowledge he was talking bollocks and he'd have his short sharp shock soon enough. 5 years later is better late than never.

You cannot agree with or justify segregation.

They removed segregation from schools because it didn't benefit anyone. Yet, in this day and age, apparently segregation is good in order to encourage kids to take something up. How? Computing is inclusive and always has been inclusive. Maybe 40 years ago when women were pushed in to occupations of either being a teacher or a nurse this would've had a place. But not now, and the continual acceptable of segregation does not ultimately lead to inclusion.
