Time is money, but too fast transfers lead to temptations. A courier service is not as fast, and not free of risk, but at least the money can be tracked down. Where did Bangladesh's money go? Can you get it back? It is not safe to use online transfers. Go to the bank and get currency because this internet is not safe.
Gurgle is the least "trustworthy computing" company out there. Whatever Gurgle has can be picked off their servers by bad guys. I am sure our leftist politicians want to use derogatory info like Hillary did with her FBI files she hoarded to use for blackmail.
When Avast! added it's unsafe bloatware browser, I never used it because I don't want to be tracked by Gurgle. Wonder what other problems they have with their insecurity suite.
I do not feel safe, so never bank online. Sorry, Amazon, but rather not put my credit card out there.. Gift cards work better. Too many fools out there to trust my money for the convenience of credit cards online.
In the U.S., federal government does not raise funds through general sales taxes, but most states and a few localities make it a major source of funds. Pro: it provides an incentive for state and local governments to hold taxes down. Con: It unfairly favors the central govenment and also certain forms of distribution. Another way Amazon is subsidized. The "book rate" or "media mail" postal rates are exceedingly low and should be raised to the standard parcel rates.
Who would think that Michael Dell and Bill Gates would act as pirates? - Stealing your private info that is none of their business. I heard they both despise piracy. It's only when their own stuff is being stolen that they are against piracy.
Gates also is behind some of the collections of data about your children to be used by users who you do not know even though you do not want the information to be shared. If that stuff is in the "cloud" it can likely be accessed by the worst kind of people, such as the Commies, Musselmen and even Goooogle.
I paid good money for this computer and even paid for Windows 7. It does not belong to the evil Microsoft, nor Gurgle. When they try to find out all about me, who else gets this information? My computer's camera has black tape over the lens, Must I install other things and monitor the updates, too?
Read recently where that pretend Indian, Senator Elizabeth Warren wants her pet Consumer Protection Bureau to track our finances. I do not trust these Commies. She lied to get racial preferences by claiming to be a Cherokee. Is Microsoft helping? It is none of their business. Maybe Microsoft is passing this info to these evil people or the agency is tapping into Microsoft's data to store my private things. The government's computers are constantly being compromised by bad guys.
Time magazine says "Alphabet has dropped 'Don't be Evil' mantra from it's code of conduct." At least they are honest about their tracking business model. Google has always been one of the more evil tech companies out there. Once Google has all the info they can slurp up about you, all kinds of REALLY evil folks (like Hillary Clinton) likely know your secrets. Are your privates on her server?
The installation of u-block or other adblocker saves time and bandwidth as well as making the websites less ugly. Security is a benefit, too. NoScript works well to prevent loud music playing and videos. I hate videos automatically playing. Using Palemoon fork of Firefox.
Be more wary of what private things the government knows about you. Some in government use information about others to gain power, whether through blackmail or selective leaking of derogatory information. The government knowing about me is of more concern than a private company. A private company cannot jail me. Neither can it seize my assets like the IRS.
But the government is spying on Google, etc. Therefore, I will block Google from learning about me.
Allowing anyone to walk across the border is not good for the country. Deporting the law breakers is the answer. They are not solely Mexicans. Knowing how many Illegals are criminals might affect one's opinion about our current open borders policy. In 2013, ICE agents released 68,000 aliens with criminal convictions. The released illegals went on to commit new crimes. In 2014 30,558 criminal aliens that ICE knowingly released back into the community in 2014 had amassed nearly 80,000 convictions, including 250 homicides, 186 kidnappings and 373 sexual assaults. My Adblock has blocked doubleclick* and google-ad* many thousands of times. Guurgle is the worst about injecting unwanted things into pages. Facebutt is almost as bad. With Privacy Badger and NoScript installed, this is quite a lot of these injections. What Guurgle is doing are countermeasures to its competitors? Google ads do not have happy bouncing chimps, but they know what you've been doing.
I loved Reader 4. You could not have all these bad things like flash and active-X to ruin yolur day. It was also fast and lightweight. Why do we need a version that allows you to surf the web, play videos and get infected? Reader 5.1 ruined things and the current version is a real hog. All I want to do is read PDF files.
Back in the days of Windows 95, this was a good company offering a needed product to the AOL users, because Microsoft could care less about security in those days. This company decided to add all of these useless features to their antivirus so they could charge extra. It is now so complicated that nobody understands how it works at the home office. The original owners cashed in by selling it to somebody with no understanding of how it worked. They have changed it since then to find anything on your box (even Internet Explorer) that acts strangely.
The cure. Do not install it in the first place. It is a virus, malware, scamware or whatever you call it.
Where I live, Southern California, Verizon charges about twice what T-Mobile charges. Did not know they offer an added service because sharing to these scumbags is worth it. Do NOT trust them when they say they turned of the turds at Turn who in turn share your info with others. Facebutt will lie about this, too. They change their privacy policy only briefly after being caught.
Whether you know it or not, the federal Department of Education wants to track all children and have them in a "Human Capital" or Das Kapital database. The article implied that the antivirus had not been updated since 2007. Windows probably also had no security updates for the same reason. That's all you need for it to reboot before waiting on customers. A simple DOS or Unix box programmed to do one thing only would have been cheaper and better. And do not connect to the interwebs!
Bad enough that big data about ME is collected by evil people like Brin who believes in the religion of global warming now. Worse that it is shared with others who may be inclined to blackmail. The B.S. that it is so convenient that ads I want are targeted to me is bad enough. What else can be targeted to ME and Thee.
The people pushing the neg am loans were independent mortgage brokers who did not work for a lender. Banks who actually hold the notes were not the ones pushing these low start rate loans (at least at the earliest) This was a new phenomenon. Previously, loan officers were employees who brought in business to Banks and S&Ls. Banks generally do not lend to those unlikely to pay off the loan. At the end of the bubble, the banking institutions did follow the competition and did make unsafe loans, but the smart ones sold the notes off to "wall street" instead of taking on the risk.
Many people who bought houses in those days did so because they thought it would make them rich. The borrowers were sure housing would continue to increase in value. They were willing to borrow in order to pay$200,000 for a property that would soon be worth $300,000. People could qualify for a loan with less income using a neg am than a traditional 30-year fixed.
The U.S. government also encouraged loans to low income people using "red-lining" rules, that changed the equation to make such lending more likely than before.
Whenever I go to the local Home Depot, there are always a crowd of illegal aliens standing around outside in the shadows there. It is a crime to hire them. Inside there are these crminal terminals trying to steal our money. Is it possible that these are in any way connected? Is Home Depot profiting in any way from these criminal enterprises?
Google started this to monetize us. The rest, including AOL and Mapquest are having to track us to make money, also. Use Firefox and in "options" you may choose to also block third party cookies. You must also use Adblock Plus with a subscription to Easy Privacy List. If you do not use Facebutt, then subscribe also to Fanboy's Social Blocking List. Facebook can be the worst, but Google has superceded them this month. These scum are always changing the terms of service to confuse us.
Reader used to be a good document reader but has too much other stuff. For making PDF's use Open Office or Libre Office. They are both great and do not have Microsoft Office vulnerable scripts. Also they are free of charge. How can anyone justify paying for these programs.
The company spies on us if we do not work hard to prevent that from happening. What they do with that data they collect about us, is not certain. Some may be used for nefarious purposes. Some of the data was apparently sucked out of their databases by the NSA. The company that spies on us was angry that someone was spying on them. Who else has access to our data now?
Search your computer for the word "google" You would be surprised how many times it turns up. This does not count "doubleclick" and other products owned by google. I don't recommend deleting every file with google in its name. It cannot all be deleted or your computer will stop working. What are all these things and are they spying on me, too?
The reason to stop evil companies from snooping on us is that it's none of their business if I don't wish them to know. We really cannot stop them from blabbing this to the highest bidder even if they try not to be evil. I'd like to see if Sergie Brinn would like me peering in his window. If he does want that, he can tell us where he and his family live.
