Volkswagen Passat GT 2.0-litre TDI SCR 190 PS 6spd DSG
I am getting a Passat
I am a Sales rep ( boo hiss) do 30 - 40 thousand miles a year and currently have a 3 year old company insignia
The choice of new cars for me was as follows:
Mondeo 2.0 Duratorq TDCI Zetec 150PS Econetic £23,635.00
Insignia 2.0 CDTI Design Nav 140PS Ecoflex £20,674.00
Passat Saloon 2.0 TDI SE Business 150PS BMT £25,620.00
Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCi N-Tec 5dr £23,945.00
Mazda 6 2.2D 150 SE-L Nav £24,480.00
After having a play with all of them I ranked them as follows:
Passat Saloon 2.0 TDI SE Business 150PS BMT £25,620.00
Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCi N-Tec 5dr £23,945.00
Mazda 6 2.2D 150 SE-L Nav £24,480.00
Mondeo 2.0 Duratorq TDCI Zetec 150PS Econetic £23,635.00
Insignia 2.0 CDTI Design Nav 140PS Ecoflex £20,674.00
The Passat was the upper end of the price range, but it is worth the odd £200 extra a year in BIK that I would have to pay.
I daresay others will have a similar choice and this end of the market I think it is a good choice.
That's all I have to say about that.

I didn't see anyone chewing gum, and when I brought some over from the UK the guys in the office got really excited about it.
I was lead to believe you could only get gum from a pharmacy.

Real men drink real ale
I am waiting for the bunch that will berate anything that is not ale.
I love a good pint of ale as much as the next man - but there is are occasions when a cold lager hits the spot too!
There will probably be an open source version along soon that does a passable ale anyway.

Re: Understandable
>Possibly. However, some nasty crashes might be caused by drivers of unrestricted cars trying to overtake them. A moped can be overtaken relatively safely, a Nissan Micra less so.
Im not sure about that. When overtaking a moped you should be giving it the same space as a car anyway.
Restricted power to weight should still manage national speed limits, it just takes longer to get there.
