and that's giving pigs a bad name. I was sold a new VCR many moons ago, it immediately chewed the first tape I put in the thing, closer inspection revealed several screws missing from the underside. They had sold me as new a broken return that they had attempted to repair and failed. Mine is not the only instance of this as they have been done numerous times for this activity. Most untrustworthy high street business I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Happy to see them hitting hard times, hopefully terminal times.
Unfortunately the TV output in the US is most definitely not High Quality. You must need your head examined to lash out a couple of thousand dollars to watch 18 minutes of commercials every hour. HD DVD of Blu Ray, well tbh I see little point in either, I am one of those philistines who gets interested in the plot of a movie and consequently I couldn't really care less about the quality of the video. As to broadcast TV in the US, I guess I'm one of those oldies who uses the light of the TV to read my book by! Only light at the end of the tunnel and its definitely a dim one is BBC America.
After much deliberation I got an Archos 404 for $150, 30Gb of audio/video goodness with added bonus of a PDF reader. Drawbacks... apart from it being French none, presumably when it breaks down it says "Pffft" with a Gallic shrug. I also bought the DVR station for 70 odd dollars which allows me to directly encode composite video to MP4
Addiction is generally defined as the need/compulsion to do something despite the knowledge of the harm that indulging in the act will do to you. Now we have all seen examples on the Reg of people killing themselves by not paying attention to their bodily needs. Instead htey go for the next level Boss.
Probably the insurance companies in the States have decided that it is BS and the docs aint gonna get any cash for such a diagnosis. Or am I just cynical.
Sounds to me like an earthbound project. Although I would love to be proved wrong. Plasmas require an external power source which has to be generated by some fuel, they also require vast amounts of gas, to support the plasma discharge which presumably will be the backward momentum to give the space vehicle forward mv. In a laboratory Inductively coupled plasma source you could be using combined flow rates of circa 20 litres per minute for all the different gases. Thats a helluva lot of gas for any given time when scaled up to engine size, an ICP torch is about 3-6" in length. But we'll see!!
In the US shipping costs are invariably horrible, ordering a $5 item from Newegg will almost always incur a $5 shipping fee, moral is don't order small stuff. I use Newegg almost exclusively for PC components and it is difficult to get a better service/deal combination online. Not too long ago I bought a couple of 500Gb Seagates which came with 2 free 250 Gb Seagates, nice. Generally you can probably get stuff slightly cheaper but not with the ease of mind that Newegg gives. If something does go wrong, and it happens occasionally they will bend over backwards to put it right. Mate of mine recently had an order for an LCD monitor go astray, Newegg said UPS had it UPS said they hadn't received it from Newegg, contacted their customer support, they immediately dispatched a new monitor on a different order number with overnight shipping with a cost of -$30. My mate had his monitor the following day with a 30 dollar refund on his credit card.
