They don't control exclusively ads or search, people seek their search out of their own volition because it is good for them and content producers put google ads in their pages because it is good for them.

Wouldn't you and you clients also have to support iOS and Android as they have a huge momentum, in fact much bigger than WP7 and even possible Win8? Wouldn't XHTML5 apps be the most transferable of them all, not only from tablet to desktop but also to all 4 platforms(including WebOS)?
