Anyone looking for a job in "security" field?
is not necessarily made by NATO.
Like anyone else, they probably hired a web dev guy or team.
So, if the passwords were not encrypted, it's not like "NATO is a lamer in security" or recently "CIA has been hacked".
Average Joe do web sites, and he may have BigCos as clients when they don't want to annoy their programmers teams with a simple public interface.
the problem is that Microsoft has too much Devlopment Tools dev teams.
Far too much for any programmer to cope with.
You can't guess wich one will stay, wich one will die.
The best bet might be good old native languages like C or C++, wich are the core of just every other tools that happen to come and go.
Just my 2 euro-cents.
This is exactly what we say. Apple's hardware is not valued by its inner qualities but from the hype around the brand. For it is a regular middle range pc inside. And has no other value whatsoever.
A 3 years old MacBook is about as powerful as my 3 years old Toshiba, but i paid it about 3 times less (400 euros, stuffed with same level hardware).
And i actually KNOW they are about as powerful for running on both CPU intensive (integers and floating points) scientific calculations for hours.
It took 24 064 seconds for the cheapo PC,
and 25 251 for the pricy Mac.

You are using over generalization.
Not everyone think like that, hope like that, dream like that.
Those who favors Apple because it has some kind of social recognition associated with it just don't know WHAT they are actually buying.
They buy an image, hyped and overpriced.
They don't buy the technical product.
That's why i stick with what i've said:
They are not Apple shareholders, they both a social recognition (not a computer), and feel different because of that.
This purely emotional behavior shows in their commitment with Apple financial results.
language, and free yourself from techno-hype.
C or C++. Grow in expertise, get better jobs, better money.
Work on more interesting projects.
Give yourself the possibility to really make a difference by using what Microsoft, Apple and other BigCos are using to make their tools (Objective-C, .net, .....)
This is what really make softwares for nearly 40 years now.
begin when an obfuscated malware will find its way through the AppStore.
In the meanwhile, the folks can just recompile with another compiler or change really small pieces of code to get a different signature that Apple will have to add to its detection tool.
They'll always be one step ahead.
And heuristic is no help as the trojan (for what i have read) perform zero suspiscious actions...
