Sellers have throughout history always tried to get away with the worst that they can. Look back to laws in the middle ages about selling meat pies. And most people are trusting and believe when a product is sold with a description, the product should match that description. What is the issue with enforcing that? EU sellers could make cheaper products if they didn't have to include safety features, all of which are there to stop people getting hurt or dying.

I am starting to find useful use cases of small language models being used for specific internal tasks, e.g. as an internal knowledge bot where workers can ask the bot questions. It needs to be a customised bot run on it'S own much smaller infrastructure so that various parameters can be set and as it has a very clearly defined border, it does not need the whole internet as training data. It also generally stimualtes an internal exercise with a mandate to review all documentation and update it, one for the bot, but with the much more useful side effect that it is also better for humans to read.

In my 15 years as a freelance project manager, I have only once observed a pure Agile project run in the wild, and it was a very unique situation. Every other project that claims to be agile, still has milestones and phases that need to be signed off, contractually defined deliverables etc. that mean it is some hybrid. Sure the project claims to be scrum and uses sprints but generally follows some sort of waterfall phases.

I have only heard it being mentioned once in the various media pieces about this. A estimate is Anthropic spent $100m on getting the results they just did. If one were to have paid humans $100m to find vulnerabilities, would they have done better?

It is such a pain, we have 3rd parties working in our Jira Cloud instance, had to disable next gen projects because it was too easy to share it with every one.

On prem yes, but hosted in a customer selected data centre is what they are pushing customers to migrate to in that case, with the Jira Cloud version (with hosting completely controlled by Atlassian) what the article refers to.

There are 6 options under Lawful Basis that you can Process data (storing data counts as processing). If you only have that data for marketing purposes you will need retrospective consent. If you need it for performance of a contract or you have a legitimate interest you should be fine.

Er, last time I checked Android had a bigger market share than iOS meaning that isn't really an advantage. Apple's vertical integration could be argued to be an advantage.
