Public enemy - the Swedish PM never said it

Swedish PM Reinfeldt never said anything even remotely like it. I have the impression Swedish politicians care a lot less about Assange than he and his lawyers want us to believe. How did this get into "the news" in English? Easy. The Swedish PM hit out at criticism, made during the Assange hearing, of his country's legal system. "We have an independent legal system that is not governed by political decisions," he told Swedish media. "What worries me is that they are trying to shy away from the fact that there exist allegations that are very serious."
Assange's lawyer Robertson latched on to this during the last day of the extradition hearings, saying that "In a small country - Sweden has only nine million people - it has created, we understand, a toxic atmosphere". [Assange] is public enemy number one as a result of the prime minister's statement." He was then asked to produce a copy of the statement in question which he couldn't.
I think this qualifies as another "hail mary" of the defense.
