Re: Streaming in the car?

I tried streaming bbc 6 in my car driving to Cornwall. I expected it to be a failure and drop off as soon as I left London. To my surprise it probably only dropped out 2 or 3 times over 4 hours and each time it restarted before i could reach over to the phone and see what had happened.

It wasn't quite so good on the return journey and needed to be re started but i was amazed how good the 3G was. using threes network if anyones wondering

w995

Not wishing to begin to sound like a sony fanboi but the w995 although limited with the apps new phones can use still does everything a modern phone really needs to do , Wifi, iPlayer, has GPS and maps and syncs all my contacts, email and calender with google.

it's now 3 years old hasn't broken down and had an 8mp camera with a flash before pretty much anything - it is a great little phone and lasts several days on a battery too. I agree though they did seem to lose there way more often than not.

Apple's 'App Store trademark': A farce of Jobsian proportions

Rastamouse

how about this

Why don't Apple call it the Apple Store but use a different colour font for the letters "le" in apple. So for example on a black background all the text would be white but with the le in grey. Get's around the trademarking issue as they're not selling apples in the fruit sense and everyone would still call it the app store anyway.

South West Trains puts squeeze on commuters

I agree

Those seats are a joke, Where I get on the train the only seats left are the one in the middle of the blocks of 3.

Its so uncomfortable being squashed in the middle I often end up sitting on the floor for 45 minutes instead. It's alright as i'm in my scruffy cycling shorts by that point but wouldn't want sit on the floor otherwise.

So it recovers after 2 years...

I wonder if polar bears can swim non stop for that long?

Even if it comes back I doubt much life would return with it
