Apple in XS new sensation: Latest iPhone carries XS-sive price tag

Re: What now?

iPhones are not holding their value the way they used to. You can already pick up an X on ebay for around £500 :-)

Apple: Our stores are your 'town square' and a $1,000 iPhone is your 'future'

I Can Wait ....

I think I will wait for next years XS

Sysadmin paid a month's salary for one day of nothing

I was onsite at a private bank for 4hrs on New Years day, 2000. Didn't have to do anything but got paid enough to buy a new Ducati 748 :-)

IT contractors raise alarm over HMRC mulling 'one-month' nudge onto payrolls

I Don't Understand The Logic ....

I pay the government a lot more tax ( NI, Tax, Corporation Tax and VAT) as a contractor than I would as a permanent employee on a lower salary.

Here's how TalkTalk ducked and dived over THAT gigantic hack

Why Is Dido Harding Still in a Job?

I had TalkTalk customer support call me up at the weekend, they had all my details. Allegedly my broadband account had been suspended and I needed to enter some details on their website to get it un-blocked.

Very authentic, they hardly spoke any English, just like the real TalTalk support :-(

Apple goes to crapple in stock plunge kerfaffle: $113bn wiped off in days

Items that are in fashion ultimately become unfashionable.

Apple Watch is such a flop it's the world's top-selling wearable

Wearables, Who Gives a **** ?

If Apple were to release a turd with an Apple logo on it, I am sure the iTwats would buy it and it would become the worlds top selling turd.

I rest my case.

Apple preps summer bonking bonanza for Brits

I have been bonking regularly with NFC for the past couple of years ... it is extremely handy for London transport and coffee shops.

It will nice to no longer feel like a weirdo, being the only person doing it.

Apple: Relax, fanbois! We never meant to read your heart rate during wild wrist action

So .....

This wont affect the masturbation app?

Apple patches FREAK-ed out Watch

As Always ....

Apple would again like to thank it's loyal followers for beta testing another one of their products .....

Apple taxpayers swarm to stone-age iPhone 6+ purely for the bigness

For This Years Tax .....

It will get upgraded with an S ..... the iPhone 6S Plus.

Costa Coffee Club members wake up and smell the data breach

"recently identified a small number of Coffee Card members (around 0.02 per cent) with some unusual activity on their accounts"

How is it that everyone I know with a Costa card and web login got one of these emails to reset their passwords ....

Got iOS 8.3 installed? Pssh, you are SO last week… version 8.4 is out

Every iOS release to date has been a beta test ... even 8.3 will be patched very soon.

Pre-order consumergasm will leave Apple Watches out of stock for months

Re: I suppose

To make them more authentic they have had to cripple the battery life and make them completely useless.

Over 1,600 pre-ordered watches went straight onto ebay ...

I am expecting that the other 998,400 apple watches will also be on there by the end of June when people realize that they are:

1. Pretty useless

2. Extremely un-cool.

Bonking with Apple is no fun 'cos it's too hard to pay, say punters

Re: I'm puzzled by these attempts.

I can happily use my S5 with EE's cash on tap (NFC app) to pay at Tesco .... and have been doing so for the past 18+ months.

Also use it every day to buy coffee at Costa and regularly use it on London buses .... I rarely have any problems.

Just WALK IN and buy an Apple Watch. Are you mad?

Apple launches a new product .... no idiot queues at the stores ...... the product is seen as a dead duck and uncool.

Are Apple trying to circumvent this scenario?

Can't pay $349 for an Apple Watch? Get a Chinese knockoff for less than $50

Have they crippled the battery to make it more like the real thing?

Apple Pay a haven for 'rampant' credit card fraud, say experts

Re: thanks Apple, now I'm living the dream!

"Just remember that the article does say the Google Wallet etc will also suffer from this problem"

No it doesn't.

Visa: One million bonks a month for Europeans from next year

The biggest problem with NFC payments .... is trying to get a service to use it with a phone.

After 2 years I managed to get Cash On Tap from EE but I am still restricted on which phones I can use with it.

Apple: 100,000 lucky people can test our flaky iOS 8.3 code – report

I was being sarcastic ....

I can't remember an iOS release that didn't require to be patched within a week or two.

"It’s the first time Apple has run a public beta for iOS"

Apple have run a public test on every release of iOS to date ..... it just wasn't officially called a beta test (as it should have been).

Apple design don Jony Ive: Build-your-own phone is BOLLOCKS

Almost all Samsung phones/tablets for the past couple of years can take a 128GB Micro SD card.

BEHOLD Apple's BENEVOLENCE! iMessage txt BLACK HOLE finally fixed

More of I design feature I would have thought.

Apple: SO sorry for the iOS 8.0.1 UPDATE BUNGLE HORROR

Every year I expect Apple to say a big thank you to the fanboys for beta testing the latest version of iOS ..... but they never do.

AVOID the Apple Watch. Buy a drone or robot instead, techies told

Sweat ....

If it works as well as the iPod shuffle or Nano it will stop working if you sweat too much :(

Buying memory in an iPhone 6: Like wiping your bottom with dollar bills

Re: "A little eBay shopping and you can find 128GB Micro SD cards for under a tenner"

Genuine Sandisk 128GB Micro SD cards are now selling for around £50 on Amazon. By the end of the year they will be under £40.

iPhone 6 will make you fork over with Apple Pay if you want to BONK

Re: Another reason Not To Use NFC?

Err ... me! I use it almost every day to pay for stuff. One of the most useful things I can do with my phone.

iPhone 6, Watch: Hate it or really hate it, Apple's now a $604.77bn biz

Fools and their money .....

Why Apple had to craft a pocket-busting 5.5in Plus-sized iPhone 6 (thank LG, Samsung etc)

Re: But when will Apple Pay be coming to Blighty?

Errr .... you don't need a Oyster Card App, I can already use my phone with NFC enabled S4 to pay for buses in the same way and for the same cost as an Oyster card and within the next few weeks I will be able to use it on the underground.

Apple's big bang: iPhone 6, ANOTHER iPhone 6 Plus and WATCH OUT

EE - Cash On Tap

Been using NFC on my GS4 almost every day for the past year ....

Eat, Costa, Boots, Tesco, London buses (very shortly the underground).... even the CoOp in the village now accept it :-)

Power of iPhone 6 hype-gasm: Apple a sniff away from record stock high

Who Gives A F***

Does this every year at this time, then when the new products are announced/released the share price drops.

Even more of a bargain :)

Oh Good .....

I am one of the many S4 owners using an i9505G Nexus rom on my i9505 ...... to get rid of all of the Samsung shit from the phone :)

Dear-ly beloved: Apple’s costly iPad Mini with Retina Display

The biggest flaw I can see with the iPad mini is that it is the wrong shape.

The beauty of a small tablet is that it can fit in a suit or jacket pocket ..... the iPad fails in this respect.

Also makes it poor for watching movies.

Apple's new iPad Mini: ALREADY set for Black Friday PRICE SLASH

I am waiting .....

... until I get one free in a packet of Corn Flakes.

Does Apple make you puke? Take this iOS 7.0.3 update with your tablets

Another bug fix ....

The third bug fix to iOS 7 in just over a month.

That isn't very good, don't they bother to beta test the software?

Wozniak: Please, whatever you do, DON'T buy me an iPad Air

Rip ......

I didn't have a problem copying the 6 seasons of the Big Bang Theory onto my 7.7" Galaxy Tab ..... ripped from Blu Ray to 1280 x 800, which is more than adequate.

All cool kids' phones run ALTERNATIVE alternative custom Android ROM

Nothing to do with the competence of the programmers, it is the bastardisation of the OS in an attempt to increase profits of the manufactures that is the problem that gets fixed with a custom rom.

I don't want no Samsung ( or HTC or Sony etc ...... ) shit on my phones.

Dear Apple: Want to stay in business? Make an iPhone people can afford

Oh Dear ....

This will upset Rik Myslewski who seems to think Apple is doing so well .....

'200 million' fanbois using iOS 7 just a week after release - study

I would expect that at least 95% of people owning Android devices couldn't care less about fragmentation .... so long as they can play music & videos, access facebook, send SMS messages ..... and make telephone calls they will be happy with what they have.
