Contentwise, I didn't find BIG difference between the two.
I choose Netflix at the end simply because for the ease of use, I also found their recommendation engine is good.
I had many troubles with LoveFilm, the user interface is really behind and the app experience on the PS3 was horrible.
Both need more content though.

Do you really want to use your brain while using a TV or mobile phone? instead of using your brain to use the services on top (such as apps or media)
and that's why they have bigger market share because more people afford to get them, that doesn't mean that Android users are willing to pay more...
if you ask me as developer (despite Apple's "closed" approach) I would prefer developing applications for iPhone rather than Android (at least for the next couple of years) for better user experience, better development environment and more mature app store. unless android provide more polished experience.
