I honestly think this would be a huge fail
I mean yeh these sets would be good for collectors, but kids are the major consumer group of lego, not 45 year old blokes with nothing better to spend their wages on.
I cant see that many kids saying "I want the lego portal playset for christmas"
I honestly think they'd be better off making a half life set, at least kids would be able to do something other than build a non working test chamber.
Are they going to send the teachers on courses so they actually know what they are on about? When we started our IT GNVQ at college, the teacher was learning it as he went along, we ended up showing him how to run his course basically, the only training he'd had was a two week night class in Visual Basic. He was amazed when I showed him how to make a ball bounce around in a box dynamically.
Really hope they have some better training in nowadays .
"Game publishers Bioware are due to release an officially sanctioned alternative ending to the game in April."
Has this been confirmed then? Nothing on the recent statement said this was going to happen, and I very much doubt it ever will. It's a lot more likely they'll just release another game and be like "Surprise, mass effect 3 wasnt the last in the series!". It's pretty evident they dropped this "Last game in the series" tag pretty close to the end of development, and thats why the ending is so lacking.
It does seem to be a bit of a trend now that if you live say 5 miles from a city center, you've got every chance of getting fibre, but in the city center itself? NO CHANCE. Surely these sort of lines are what our city centers need, not somebody sitting in a council house a couple of miles down the road.
When are people going to realise the Kinect is not the future of gaming, its a gimick, that unfotunatly a lot of x-box users fell for after they were fed false promises of a-list titles and a whole host of other features. The kinect falls into the same catagory as other bombshells, such as the nintendo power glove, an expensive device, that is quickly forgotten about by the developers. I must know 10+ people with a kinect, and none of them have used it again after the first week of purchase, and all of them think it was a waste of money. This game seems to be the final nail in the coffin.
Wheres System Shock?!?
Wheres System Shock 2?!?
Wheres Bioshock 2?!?
Wheres It Came From The Desert?!?
Wheres Katamari Demacy?!?
Wheres Final Fantasy 8?!?
Wheres Final Fantasy 6?!?
Wheres Okami?!?
Wheres any of the Warcraft games?!?
Wheres Xenogears?!?
The list goes on...
Instead we get Sonic The Hedgehog, which was pretty much a screen of text, yeh great ending!!!
The bottom line is, if the SOPA act goes through, liturally half of youtube would need to be taken down over night. Like to watch some guys videos who makes reviews for computer games? well that wont be happening any more if they have anything to do with it. The whole things ridiculous, and dosnt help anybody in the slightest.
How is this any different to buying old nes and snes games on the virtual console on Wii, we already own these games, but were willing to pay for them again to have it on our Wii.
Calling it unfair? it's not really is it. I dont think nintendo would listen if you told them you had the original cartridge to Mario Brothers, so you dont have to pay for it for the virtual console would they?
I love it how everyone's come on here justifying why the credit card data can't be used for anything, but when the exact same thing happened to Sony everyone was up in arms and going ballistic about why the data was stolen in the first place. I guess xbox fanboys dont care about Valve...
So the developers are throwing their toys out the pram because people didnt like the game, and claim it was because they started making it 15 years ago so it's not going to be up to scratch with other studios games coming out at the same time?
I'm sorry but thats a complete cop out, why even release it if you already know it's dated by todays standards? They should have just released it as a budget title if they already knew this was the case
