We picked up a Gear VR (last but one model) for £40 on ebay, which is about right seeing here is very little content, particularly free stuff. My 3 and 5 year old love the dinosaur rollercoaster, which I find nauseating (despite being a pilot). I've just noticed on the box its says for 11 years and older, so I'm probably ruining them for life.
Let's not forget these comparison sites were no better than spammers, polluting search results with pages of links to utterly useless pages. They needed de-ranking for everyone's sanity, and the EU should not be forcing any search engine to let them back in the top results.
I believe its a reference to the Titanic, a ship which was claimed to be the most advanced ever developed, and completely unsinkable, but turned out to be a disaster. Intel's disastrous Itanium processor was dubbed the Itanic and Microsoft's disastrous OS is dubbed the Win-10-nic.
Octane flopped because Intel relentlessly hyped XPoint as being thousands of times better than flash in every metric, but by the time it arrived on the market it turned out to have a bit better latency, and otherwise a massive disappointment. I'm not surprised Micron want to get as far away from that 'I' as possible, and build a market for their version of XPoint based on its actual merit.
Just on the basis of what I've been working on today, every failed build could be fixed in an obvious way, but quite often just getting a clean build doesn't remove an underlying bug caused by a very human development process. I'm not sure a bot submitting fixes would get me to code working in a way I intended, any faster.
Even before this they were incompetent and unpleasant. Twice I was unfortunate enough to take out house insurance and found they were handling the payment by monthly installments. Each time they sent me letters saying I was in default, threatened to cancel the insurance and recover the fees using bailiffs - and this was before the first direct debit payment was due to be taken. In each case it was sorted out quickly on the phone - well quickly if you don't include the hold time - by very helpful call centre people. But the automated nastygrams were completely unnecessary, and left a very bad feeling about the company.
You are thinking of the Intel Management Engine, where as this is something like ARM's trust zone. The IME is a separate processor that can monitor everything the main processor does and control attached peripherals. Where as an enclave is a part of the main processor that enables a security application to run with registers and memory which can't be accessed by tasks running in the general environment, to prevent eavesdropping and side channel attacks. If anything the secure enclave should not have any elevated permissions over anything outside its enclave.
My wife printed off her masters thesis 5 minutes before the last possible minute to drive it down to the uni on submission deadline day. It was not until it was being assessed that she found out that half way through it terminated with a postscript error - she didn't think to check! Somehow she managed to get the masters despite the thesis not containing a conclusion, but after reading the full copy her tutor told her told she would have got a distinction.
Multi-threading is pretty useless in Python unless you are launching system commands, any real parallelism has to be done using multi-processing (multiple processes), and is far more difficult to get right. It's more akin to writing code for MPP systems in that all data has to be transferred between sub processes using slow mechanisms.
On Linux fork allows the sub processes get any existing data already calculated in the main program (although it can't modify anything not explicitly shared), but on Windows each sub process starts as a clean sheet and all data it needs must be sent to it. Unless you are doing a lot of processing with a small amount of data, there's a big risk that multiprocessing ends up slower than just using a single process.

Well it overflows a signed 32 bit number, which will affect a lot of incorrectly written software, but it will be another 68 years before it overflows an unsigned 32 bit number, and really is at the end of the road.
The original 26 bit mode ARM ISA with combined PSR & PC, conditionals, and multiple register stacking was a thing of beauty, it actually made you want to write in assembler. The evolution and expansion of A32 has degraded the ease of handwritten use, and I'm afraid A64 is very much leave it to the compiler territory. Sad indeed.
What other consumer magazine can I go to, to complain about Which taking additional subscriptions after cancelling?
We only signed up to get money off something else. I was very unimpressed with the magazine, a combination of blinding obvious consumer advice, almost completely content free reviews, and dumbed down ratings tables that didn't in anyway justify the overall scores given.
We asked Mazda about the obvious fake oil pressure gauge on the RX-8, and their answer was they do this because a significant number of numskulls would complain the car was broken if the needle ever moved from the centre.
The coolant temperature gauge isn't completely fake, it will show the engine warming up, but it's set up so it only starts rising above normal when the engine is practically melting and damage is being done.
We complain about the US when it tries to impose US law on other country, but here is the EU insisting that the entire world obey it's rules.
If you want GDPR protection use an EU based registrar, if you want a .com or any other domain controlled by registrars outside the EU, you should not expect those registrars to have to pander to the EU.
