So let me get this right, this is a bad release of ubuntu because:
1. The scroll bars have been removed
2. Because there was no RC it "feels unfinished."
There's an objective and professionally written review.
Having used it every day since the 1st beta on two different machines, I couldn't disagree more. I've not found any problem in "day to day" use which would suggest it isn't ready. Isn't ready for what, exactly?
... teachers aren't paid enough! If you're good enough at CS, do you a) go and teach for 21k a year, and all the crap that comes with working with kids or b) start on a similar wage with fairly easy and clear routes to far more cash if you have half a brain cell, not to mention more preferable working environment.
The trouble at school level is that computing is a subject in a lot of schools led by business, the curriculum and resources are business oriented.
Oh and, I'm a teacher who teaches programming... starting at the age of 10. Can you stand to call me a teacher?
