I, for one, welcome our robotic communist jobless future

Neil 34

Great article ... enjoyed it

Reinforcing the author, what we need in our society is wealth. Capitalism raises the level of wealth, government taxes and regulation restrict and destroy wealth. Profit is not bad. It is required.

Regarding jobs: the cave men had full employment. Everyone worked from dawn to dusk but they had very little wealth in their society.

Regarding communism: I believe the definition of communism is the state owns the means of production. In the hypothesis of the article the robots are not owned by the government but by individuals. Competition is allowed. May I predict if the state (gov't) owned the robots (communisim) the euphoric wealth of lots of stuff for everybody would very short lived.

James Lovelock would agree with you Lewis. He now thinks the environmentalists with degrees in political science need a new religion. (And I'll add degrees in computer science.)

Enviromental Whackos

It's over. The enviromental movement that started in 1970 reached its' peak a week before the Copenhagen conference and the leaked emails. Environmentalism has been the religion for this generation. It's over, it's in decline. Where will the hippies go next ... for money?

Great News

The future of freedom on the internet can best be served by limiting government involvement. To that end it is good the Repubs have stripped away NetNeutality regulation.

Let large corporations compete in the market place. Less regulation fosters innovation. Liberalism has always failed where ever it has been tried.

Tune in and make up your own mind

I was listening to Rush when he mentioned The Register. Taken in context, his comment was not derogatory.

What we have happening here in America is re-education. Because of the internet, Rush, Fox News, Glenn Beck and hundreds of others, the general population is exposed to the "other side". For years, as you know, the media was dominated by liberals, but that is no longer the case. The goal of Rush, as the term EIB suggests, is education and it is working. Witness the past election. People's opinions formed under the assault of liberalism in the press and public education are being changed.

If it keeps up we may be fortunate enough to elect Sarah Palin and a majority in congress with a tea party slant. Freedom and free markets ... now that's an environment for the pursuit of happiness.

For those of you interested in hearing first hand, liberalism debunked, tune in to Rush onWABC-AM on the internet at 1800 UCT, Monday to Friday.

Love my Pre

... works great. Battery life is fine under normal use. Multitasking works like it is suppose to. Quality issues ... none. The phone is small, fits conveniently in my pocket. Great phone. Too bad if HP drops the keyboard.
