A JiaYu G4S with 2 Gb RAM, and 16 Gb of storage, 720p Gorilla Glass 2 IPS screen dual sim both 3G, 13 MP main camera with backlight sensor, anmd up to 64Gb Micro SD support but no 4G can be bought from China if you are willing to take the risk. for around £130, Amazon around £150 (some on there are the quad core earlier version) Winning feature with that one is the 3,000Mah battery, that still shows 60% after a hard days use. qith two sSIM cards active Shocked my son by benching similar to his Nexus 5 at "7,000 odd in Antutu, but he is in battery panic and on the charger by lunchtime. There are other cheaper JiaYu phones also, along with otheer good Chinese brands. An option if you need dual sim, as in why carrty two phones when one will do?
For music a good [air of floorstanders, even the old Tannoy Dual Concentrics powered by a valve amplifier will sound better than many modern systems, fed from whatever source.
a Sheffield Labs Gold CD on a Cambridge or other decent sounds as good as a 24 bit 96Khz sampled file from a device to many. A sony Mp3 player sounds OK also played through a valve amp and decent speakers, certainly better than many of the other sound systems.
No SD Card and non replaceable battery kills it for me, over to JiyaYu or Faea, or Oppo I go. You can see where the corners are cut 5 Mp camera, etc. Still it will suit many who would otherwise have had to go for a Galaxy Ace or something with 256 Mb RAM from Carpphone Warehouse sim free for £150
Good idea, if jossled on the bus or tube you won't drop it and get trampled trying to pick it up from under all those feet. Kobo Mini is a bit of a bargain, but too small for some I picked up the Kobo Touch for £39.99, and it seems a good device, certainly E-ink ia great for reading unlike the e reader app on my tablet.
Xiomi produce a good product, Chinese phones in general are getting better with Xiomi, Oppo, Zopo, JiaYu, amongst othere producing decent phones at a great price, Ones to watch are Faea whose F1 has a Qualcomm quad core CPU, a gig of RAM, OK so only 4 Gig storage, but has MicroSD slot, dual SIM, NFC and a 720p screen for around £120 delivered.
Yes definitely, Boys From The Dwarf, imagine the paroies, and parodoxes if you put Rimmer up against the cardassians, or Shadows. Mr Morden and his Associates, being screwed over by the twisted hologram, and the Shadows being rendered visible by Lister vomiting curry all over them. Meanwhile Kryten gets into the Vorlon computer systems, and sends a planet killer to Mars or someplace
Bought a 7" from Amazon dual core Rocckchips 3066, 1.4Ghz quad core Mali 400 GPU 1 Gb Ram 8 Gb onboard, £64 delivered 3 quid for a case with built in usb keyboard and there you go, none too shabby, a netbook the size of a Filofax, remember them? it has hdmi out usb out so can be connected to the TV like a Raspberry Pi, and stream HD video. OK the resollution is only 840 x 480 or thereabouts, the touchscreen is responsive, but this one will do until a 10" model with quad core comes in around the $100 mark. Stuff olike Temple Run, Angry birds fly sic, on it. dead Trigger flies also, DJpro , and Caustic work fine with low latency; so all in all the Chinese have upped the game significantly.
Would I buty another yes, people who have seen it reckon it is OK, and wanted to know where i got it. So there we go, why buy into the wallwed garden?
I had a 486 DX2 66 (the intel, version not AMD) 8 Megabytes of RAM, and was considered a power user by mates with that spec, at least it ran the software of the day well, and I didn't need to fiddle with Config.sys and Autoexec.bat for Doom and Rise of The Triad. these days I use AMD processors in a build, as I can put a better graphics card in a build whilst getting a reasonable baseline performance. on a budget
Yes like dual core chips, 8 gb storage 1gig RAM, and micro SD Jellybean HDMI output for 60 quid or so., or 50 smackers gets a 1 gghz A8 or A9 Coretex CPU, and 512 Mb RAM, and 4Gig with Ice Cream Sandwich on a 7". Yes they are coming, and for many or for the kids will be perfactly adequate.
It woukld appear to be so, with many SD channels on the freeview, and especially Freesat, pushing blocky pixellated sub VHS quality output that is unwatchable on a HD Tv due to the upscaling engine in the TV mashing it up further trying to improve crap, and displaying worse crap.
I keep a C6-01 as spare and for use as sat nav, the maps are brilliant; only problem is one of my sons has "borrowed" it as his Blackberry has died, damn and cuss, I would love a Pureview 808 as i have a professional use for the camera facility but as the UK big players won't touch it I cannot afford the coin to buy outright at the minute, and I am not a fan of Windows phones.
If all you want is phone, text and social networking, it doesn't matter what the OS is as long as it works, and the phone is responsive, natural competitors are the cheapo $30 - 50 dollar Chinese phones most of which are dual sim, so Nokia shold beat them on quality and longevity, albiet at more than twice the price, as you can get a dual sim Chinese Android for that coin.
Many Turbo diesels are identical in construction, and a manufacturer offers a variety of power outputs at varying price points, it is usually only the ECU mapping that varies the power, so chipping for more power/torque is a relatively safe bet for lesser vehicles, but best uprate those braks as well.
