Of course food should be taxed. It's a benefit in kind, and would certainly be liable for tax in the UK.

Pirate Bay founder arrested in Cambodia
Re: Sheesh
It's not rocket science. The RIAA and/or MPAA asked the Justice (sic) Department to issue a warrant for his arrest and the americans leaned on the Cambodians. Everything's for sale there, didn't you know? They have the best justice money can buy and the trade associations are big lobbyists.
UK: 'We're legally bound to arrest Mr Assange'
Embassy invasion
If the Mekon wants so badly to kiss american hindquarters he should go and settle there permanently, instead of following them in destroying international Conventions which have lasted a hell of a lot longer than he has been around. British embassies worldwide will be the losers here, along with any shreds of respect we still get from the rest of the world. All so a bunch of spiteful hippos can throw Assange in a federal supermax for the rest of his life, assuming he lives long enough to stand trial.
Brit pair deported from US for 'destroy America' tweet
Pathetic. Still, people of the United Stoats have never been known for any pretence at comedy, beyond pratfalls and other slapstick.
The country is at #16 out of 20 on the most recent OECD list and has a lot more to worry about from internal disorder than a couple of dopy Twits.
And they're so far up themselves they neither know nor care what the rest of the world thinks.

Mr Bean prangs £650k McLaren
Plank
He doesn't deserve a car like that. It's the second time he's stuffed it into the scenery or other traffic and he should really consider a Ford Ka or something similar for next time. Only 106 of these amazing cars were built, and you'd be doing very well to buy one for £650k, particularly as a mint version went a couple of years ago for £2.5 mill.
If you can't drive it, old bean, you shouldn't have bought it. Delusions of adequacy again.

Alcatel-Lucent pays to shut down US bribery probe
Hypocrisy in action
The Merkins are such utter hypocrites. They demand what is effectively a bribe to stop sueing Alcatel but it's OK for them to bribe Nigeria to get Cheney off the hook - and innumerable other examples. Plus they got their panties in a bunch about BAe - does anyone really believe companies like Boeing use a level playing-field?
Roll on the Apocalypse.

"1: The USA is fairly moderate and restrained in its dealing with other countries."
This is the same USA that has murdered millions of innocent people around the world in the past few decades, right? Thank heavens that's them being "fairly moderate and restrained" then - goodness knows what they'd do if someone gave them a national wedgie.
Compared to your other posts this is quite moderate for you. But remind me again what part of Langley you work for?
