Facebook boss-lady is up the pole on the glass ceiling

"The parental payoff is far greater than any stock option grant or bonus check" - speak for yourself, I can't imagine anything worse than becoming a parent! Having said that I have no work ambition either - I like a chilled life. I'm sure there's a story buried in the "my kids are my life" rhetoric in this piece but I had trouble sifting it out - can you rewrite it without the hyper-personal opinion please? Cheers. :-)

Sorry about your mum, but you REALLY need to grow a thicker skin! Pretty much everything people say that isn't small talk is going to be capable of offending someone, somewhere. How often have you or someone you know said "oh, you nearly gave me a heart attack", when surprised... well curse you for treating heart attacks in such a light-hearted way! Chill some. Oh, and my Dad had Alzhemiers and I often hear the jokes about that and don't really mind; it's human nature and it's not meant personally, I know - so I do speak from some experience.

Screen size > pixel density (within reason)... at least for myself and several friends I have spoken with about this. I went from an HTC Diamond 2 to an HTC Desire HD. Both are 480x800 but going from a 3.2" screen (near the "magical" 300 pixel density figure at 292) to the 4.3" screen was amazing. To put it into perspective my main monitor is a 24" 1920x1200 where the pixel density is 94! Of course, better to have a higher pixel density than low, given the same screen size but I would never get anything less than a 4.3" now... and if they can get more usable space out of a very similar sized body then all the better. Easily fits in my pocket and makes using it so much more pleasurable. My very first thought on seeing the iphone 4 in the flesh was "poky little screen", despite the clarity.

Good point...

You make a valid point and I agree. However I was referring to the OP's dilemma of "big screen Android" or "small screen iphone" so that's obviously what he/she has.

FAIL

Learn to recognise sarcasm!

The "awesome save" comment was sarcasm. (sigh)

And whichever way you slice it you still have a crappy little screen to play it on the iphone. The serious part of my comment was simply to advise how to play it adless, on a big screen Android. Droidwall config takes seconds.

But, but, but...

It might seem a bit of a palaver, bit if you root your phone, install Droidwall and block Angry Birds from accessing the internet then you don't get the ads. So you get the app for free, adless! An awesome save of 59p and you get to play it on a decent sized screen.

Tags

I ask anyone who uploads a photo with me in it not to tag me. When I have been tagged I delete it immediately - I simply don't understand the point in tags. Only your friends can tag you - but they know what you look like anyway so it's utterly pointless except as a means of stalking people who haven't set appropriate privacy settings.

Facebook SHOULD create an opt-out of tagging. They let you delete tags so why not an opt-out? Probably because when you "delete" tags they just don't display them any more... what's the bets the tag still exists in the database.

They still need to make "remove" = "delete" (as in truly DELETE) before I use it for anything other than stalking people.

WTF?

WTF

So to go back 4 songs, for example, you'd have to click 12 times?! Or would that go forward 6 songs? Or, even worse, I'm guessing you'd actually have to wait for each operation to complete before repeating? Click click clik, pause, click click click, pause... etc? Tres lame.
