ASA slaps Ebuyer AGAIN - this time for ignoring regulator

Brian 59

I ordered a memory stick at around a fiver with free delivery, they wanted to charge me £8 delivery! This was because according to them I do not stay on the UK mainland, I've an IV17 postcode, they treat all IV postcodes, amongst others, as not on UK mainland. I live 20 miles from Inverness, definitely on the mainland.

Slightly of topic

I've a couple of PSPs but not found a game I play much. I'd like an RPG but which ones. I loved the SNES Zelda, the Elder Scrolls games. Even something akin to Dungeon Siege would do. Any tips guys.

Back on topic, if , as it states handhelds are in decline, is it that the 3DS has sold more than the PSP and the DS in the same period and they came out 8-10 years ago.

Apple pushes patents for 3D avatar authoring

BT

BT also had a booth at the Millenium dome pre-wii, I think in conjunction with MS to create avatars for joe public that they would then be able to use in programs etc

Thumb Down

Prior art

Xbox Kinect has a fun labs app that takes a picture of you which is then animated in 3d, I see a lot of crossover here.

There would be no Apple if it weren't for MS

As the title says, they were a baw hair away from going under and Bill saved them nevermind the fact that he helped write a lot of the software for Apple.

Different Game?

I've been playing this on my pc past couple of days and would like to give my experience. Firstly graphically stunning, I'm running it on a quad core 2.66Ghz, ATI 5770, 6 Gig of Ram and can run it at 1920/1080 with high settings and it's smooth as a babys arse, not tried putting up the detail higher yet. It really is a sight to behold. Also my loading times are negligable, few seconds so don't know what's up with previous commenters pc. The author of article says you can't fiddle with car setup, yes you can , before every race the option is there. Also it's been commented about 'having' to do Gymkana etc, no you don't, if you've accumulated enough points in the other sections you can skip the ones you don't fancy. As stated the feeling of going from one surface to another is very tangible, as is the weight of the different vehicles, eg going from driving a Escort Cosi to a truck. With all the assistance turned on it's almost driving itself but still fun, that easy though even a girl could win a race:>

Uses

Surprised no-one has twigged a major use MS could have with Skype, maybe I'm just more astute. Combine Skype with Kinect and you have a kick as facility.

The article should really state some models of Bravia as not all are internet capable, mines isn't for example.

@ArmanX

I see the Intel marketing brainwashed you. The speed doesn't matter a jot, it's how much the processor does per clock cycle. You cannot compare an Arm, Atom, I5 etc etc purely on clock speed.

Yeh you can scratch a disc, very easily. I've roughly 70 games. I scratched one, know how you do it, you move the xbox while its reading the disc, oooo, what a design flaw. Tube. Must be lovely place you live were gaystations don't break, Sony and Apple are god (I'll put money on it you've either had or had a judas phone). Within one week two mates PS3's have gone. I've got a PS2, Wii and Xbox, didn't see point of PS3 apart from using as a BR player.

Obvious Ps3 fanboy

Well apart from the fact that MS will fix/replace an xbox 2 years after warrenty expires, why let facts get in the way of MS bashing eh. Unlike my mates PS3 which had the Sony version of RROD, the flashing red light of death which occured a few weeks after it refusing to play some DVDs and all games. Cost money to call Sony who offered to fix/replace it for 130 quid but were generous in giving a 3 month warrenty (sarcasm). He, wrongly in my opinion, opted to buy a new one so I opened the old one up to find it burnt in numerous places.
