You know what...
[Quickdig] ....they should release that for OSX, then it'll have more modern games to play on it ;-) for a change [/Quickdig]
I wait... time passes.

"But the only way that readers who are accustomed to receiving their news for free will begin paying for it is if all outlets in a given market were to switch to a for-pay model simultaneously."
It's called the BBC and they would not be permitted to use a for-pay model for their news site so many people would go there for their news. Quite frankly if it was a choice between paying for access to news sites or losing them, I'm afraid I would go for the latter. However regardless of the number of sites that switched to a pay model there will always be substantially more that would continue or begin to offer it for free.
...but he committed that crime in the UK. Just because the computers he hacked happened to be in the US in neither here nor there. If the US authorities wish to present evidence to the UK prosecutors as to the scale of the damage and what he did then by all means do so, that's fair enough. However to expect him to face trial in the US for a British crime is completely ridiculous and totally wrong.
And cue the sanctimonious twats that think everyone who wants to hack, mod or jailbreak their equipment only wants to do so in order to play copies. I have an original Xbox, that is modded, fitted with a larger HD, runs XBMC and has my games loaded onto the HD (no disc required) and is a cracking little media centre. I own not one illegal game for it, but all my originals are in tip top condition because I don't use them. Any PC game I buy, the first thing I will do is try and get a no-cd patch. I have a modded PSP, which means I can put several games on one memory stick, instead of messing about with the UMD's. Now cue fast forward to my son's XBOX 360 which isn't modded and requires the disk even after a HD install. So far two games ring scraped because he moved it accidentally. I spend and have spent a lot of money on games, but if I can mod something that will be improved by the modification then I'm going to do it, but just because I do, does NOT make me a freetard.
When a company runs a competition, employees or their families are usually not permitted to enter that competition, so what real difference between that and these fools. It's blatantly obvious that people are going to question your motives for posting positive reviews on a product that you are employed to promote, regardless if the feeling towards the product were genuine or not.
I'll tell you why.... because most of the classes from what I've seen teach dull material. Databases, spreadsheets, word processing, basic HTML, internet searching. Full Yawn-fest. It's basically teaching kids to go into an office, not into IT. Where is the basic networking skills, PC building skills, OS awareness and SECURITY awareness. Give them some hands on stuff to do, instead of the dull diet of drivel thats force fed to them nowadays. Give them something that will be useful to them even if they choose not to pursue it further as a career, and if nothing else they will at least be able to install a stick of ram, and secure their home network.
I'm sure whatever it is, it will be "magical and revolutionary" and yada yada yada, and it will sell millions because the same millions that buy all the other "magical and revolutionary" yada yada yada will go out and buy this as well. Then those same millions will once again attempt to look down on those who don't have one and the only reason they try to diss the latest "magical and revolutionary" yada yada yada is simply because they can't afford one.
So as the title of my post says - ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Logical enough solution, but quite frankly I still don't get it. I just seriously cannot see the point of dragging your monitor across your desk in and flipping it over just so you can use it with your fingers, if you are going to fo that, you may as well just get a touchscreen tablet. I just think companies are trying to force a technology into an area that just doesn't suit it well, particularly when that area already has a perfectly good input solution that works. It works great at info kiosks and is perfectly suited to mobile devices, it just doesn't fit with a desktop in my opinion.
It's actually starting to get ridiculous the amount of cameras we have over here now. I swear every square inch of Belfast is covered. Hardly one in sight when people were being murdered & battered, and now it's the middle of a "peace process" (in the more affluent communities) we obviously need to be observed on a 24 hour basis. Do they really think that terrorists are so bizarrely stupid that they "do a job" in their own car. It tends to go a little bit like this. Knock, Knock Doors answers, sudden rush of armed gentleman, give us your car keys. Right folks, these several heavily armed folk will point a gun at your head until we phone with the all clear. Door closes, unreported stolen car (for obvious reasons) disappears into the distance. It doesn't take a mensa member to figure out exactly how useless the cameras will be.
No interest in it. It's fine and dandy for the odd movie in the cinema but for general home use (especially at the ridiculous prices they want for it) I'll give it a miss. They've been trying to flog us this 3D idea for decades and frankly I'm sick of it. HD is good enough for me and gives a nice crisp clear picture. Why would I want to mess that picture up with fuzzy-assed 3D (even with the goggles).
When 3D is so good that I think I'm sitting in the middle of the action, then I'll invest, but I'm certainly not putting any money towards the current seasickovision thats on offer.
Seriously...... is he having a laugh? Hopefully when purchasing the Daily Mirror we will be able to refuse the freebie, or perhaps I could take it and teach my dog how to Frisbee.
What has more chance of being over? Would it be the internet, or his career. It's a toughie
