Now ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the defendant before you, Mr Lewis hamilton is accused of exceeding the speed limit on the M6 last wednesday afternoon. Although we don't have any direct evidence of this offence I point you to the following examples of Mr Hamilton driving at over 200mph every other Sunday afternoon and, moreover, causing a number high speed accidents and, on more than one occasion, failing to stop after said accidents.........
"Their main downfall seems to have been massive assumptions about their brand awareness in the UK - yes, people who've lived in the US or are particularly switched on knew about Best Buy, but most of the population drove past the signage thinking "Best Buy? I've no idea what they sell"."
Anybody who has lived in the States or knows about Best Buy probably knows they are one of the few firms with a worse reputation for customer service than DSG.

The development of these requirements has involved extensive consultation with other government departments and relevant agencies, as well as with industry."
So, were talking to ourselves and everybody knows the stellar record the government has with IT.
Were talking to the industry who has no vested interest in this at all and can be relied on to deny any and all problems .
Were talking to "relevant agencies" who we won't tell you who they are but will be making money from this.
So that's all right then......
What they need to do is talk to people like geohot and other selected white/greyhats or give these systems to the university's and say - "Right we are 100% confident these are secure and will give you £100K for every flaw you find. You have the right to publish if we don't fix the problem."
Either it will be a very expensive exercise which will lead to a much more secure system or a very cheap exercise which will validate a reasonably secure system. Whatever, I would trust what these sort of people say about the security rather than "government agencies" or "industry".
Earning up massively.
Profits up massively.
From a company which sells non essential luxury goods in the middle of a world financial crises when most firms are happy to stay in the black.
Shares drop 6%.
Just which planet are these analysts on.
Given its financial performance I would rather have my money invested in Apple than any of the big money firms on Wall Street.

BTW - the PBS speccy is a bog standard Spectrum Plus in a case - not uncommon - but any information on the company would be appreciated. You can get the same thing with a rubber keyboard if your feeling particularly masochistic.
