Reddit wipes clean leaked celeb nudie pics, tells users to zip it

300 words

I'm one of the few outlets that chose to publish the condemned images (until I too got the lawyer's letters) and part of me wanted to fight this, I'll be honest, and then i relented. Relented not because I don't stand by the free expression of ideas, content and images but because I simply didn't want to become a martyr to prove an intellectual point of free expression. To all the media outlets out there who have been expressing the high moral ground and have condemned outlets like reddit immoral, sod off it and get real- the media is full of instances of using material and invading the privacy of many. It's just stops when a lawyer and the entertainment industry comes knocking on your door. At least we ought to debate the issues and stop with the crap moral outrage....

Lindsay Lohan goes down for 90 days

full circle

Sweet victory to a nation watching in self disbelief at the Lilo can do almost do anything adventure. At least Lilo can finally rest in peace in the acknowledgement that she wasn’ t really immortal in the first place even if the coco pops she liked to play with made her think otherwise.

How ironic that the public can now sigh in relief that there is a justice, despite the injustice of ever having held the 23 year old girl to loftier expectations that she was ever capable of in the first place.

New York Times bans 'tweet'

Hooray for NYT's

Well, it is apparent that traditional print media is finding itself in a very sensitive position. New outlets like the Times seem willing to embrace only so much of today’s omnipresent new media technology. Quite frankly, I think it’s somewhat noble of the Times to take a stand against some of the more vapid jargoneeering so common in technology. But what about “re-tweet”?
