Facts?

That's the whole problem. Apparently we wouldn't understand the facts so they 'fake' them. Given that the available information on AGW always appears so biased it's no wonder that there is no common consensus.

Anyway, the 'facts' always fall where the politicians (lobby groups, self interested QUANGOS, Big green Co's , etc...) want them too. The only real fact is that we are pouring (wasting in my opinion) billions into something we have very little understanding of.

It's being considered.

I saw this in Autocar last year.....

"Renault-Nissan is planning to make its electric vehicles rechargable in three different ways when they first go on sale in Europe from 2011.

Drivers will either be able to plug their cars into two types of charger or swap their batteries in special “quick drop” exchange stations.

The two types of charging facilities will offer either a standard service, which will take four to eight hours to fully replenish a battery, and a fast charge will enable an 80 per cent charge in around 20 minutes.

The third option is to exchange your depleted battery for a fully charged one. Renault-Nissan claims that the swap would take just three minutes."

Will it ever happen though?

FAIL

It's 100%Secure

At a primary school local to me they sent out letters on the last day of summer term saying that they would be introducing this in September (last year). This gave the parents no opportunity to object unless they turned up on the first day of Autumn term.

A friend of mine whose children attend this school did turn up and ask that his children were not fingerprinted. He was informed by the headteacher that this would cause social stigma for his children and that they should get used to providing biometric data as this will be the norm for the rest of their lives.

He was also told that the system was 100% secure. He's an IT geek too so found this the most worrying part of the whole process.
