Just out of interest, what would really stop these crims from just morphing the thing into something even worse with far more destructive qualities than anything ever seen.. I mean really!!!
MS is near powerless to stop all these assaults from the home pc users perspective because MS doesn't have the right to run any remote cleaning functions unless its through the AUS (Automatic Update Service).
Even more worryingly a lot of Home users do not run their updates regularly enough to even do anything to help. My company ran an independent survey ages ago targeting over 1000 Windows base pc users (home / small office environment only) and asked them how often they did the AUS.
Out of 1000 users only 397 people said they allow it to run automatically without user interaction. The rest said they tend to just leave the notification up and do nothing about it.
Fun and games, but, taking control of our MD's pc and flashing messages like "perv alert" or "Naughty boy" and forcing his mouse and keyboard to move to unblocked smut sites while watching his reaction through my office was class :D
He was not amused when I told him his pc was infected with a virus cos his 15 year old son had been browsing porn and showed him some cache logs (ok I admit they were the FD's personal laptop cache files, who incidentally was a raging queen in his spare time :D ).
Ah all good fun tho, but perhaps a little childish
What sickens me is that no matter how much each and every successive government promises tax cuts and breaks for low income families, those such acts or promises never ever seem to come to fruition.
I've seen low income families fall apart, to such extent were the husband has to "Fake" walking out on his wife and kids so the wife can go and claim single parent benefits such as, housing / council tax payments, social security and JSA while the so called husband is staying at a friends house no more than 2 miles away working and brining in £400-£500 per week which he's giving to his "wife" to spend on the kids and stuff....
I don't agree with such actions, but if they powers that be don't start helping businesses generate more actual jobs for Brits (not racist in intent). Then I can see more and more families faking a split and shitting all over the system just to survive.
The dull and somewhat listlessness Fridays are at very long end. Excellent form sir!

I will be the first to admit (being Spanish myself!) that the majority of Banking Officials in Spain are as stupid as pig-shit... No more so, than Spanish bankers who (above their already over paid jobs) seeks a 12% ROI for doing practically nothing.

I would NEVER allow my 16 year old's to go anywhere with any of their high end gadgets.
I have three 16 year old daughters, I live by the following rules:
* Insure all the girls gadgets, take the 5 year "theft Insurance!" it's there for a reason!
* They do not leave the house with the following items, Ipads, Ipod Touches or Laptops! unless I know for a fact they are still insured and have been marked with a anti-theft pen.
* Have their phones tracked at all times (In these days of rapists, murders and boyfriends!!!! I want to know they are were they say they are!)
Simple things really, you would have thought that if the boys dad could afford the £500 he in turn could afford the Theft Insurance :D
Ever tried to say no 11 times It gets boring after half an hour of the sales vermin saying "no seriously you want this model I got one myself on my staff discount and it is 'Well Wick'd' " ...
So knowing what I know, which is far more superior than your average teenage wannabe sales mong. I did what I had to do, took the item, made some personal alterations to the product, I.E. Gave it a good kick in! then took the item in question back and got EXACTLY what I wanted in more ways than one.

I was once gang raped into buying a P.O.S 28" HD (apparently!) Gaming Monitor from PC World. I went in to purchase a specific model that I spent 3 days researching every tiny detail of then when I arrived some sales droid basically forced me to purchase a lesser model. I took it home, smashed it to bits, put it back in its box and sealed it up.
Took it back with the receipt and spoke to the bastards manager claiming and I quote "See that twat over there, he sold me this.." handed him the box then proceeded to say "I came in 2 hours ago wanting this model *hands over model number * and that 'sales' assistant you call him effectively forced me to purchase this model which.. well is smashed to crap"
After about 45 mins of my unrelenting tirade of verbiage the Manager apologised offered me a complete refund, store credit and free delivery of any item I wanted :)
Guess what the manager did next..... Took the lad out the back and while I was stood after making the exact purchase I originally came in for, he fired the lad and threw him out of the store.
I love it when scum-bags that "think" they know more than me get what's coming to them!

Nyrobi and Ghost form the new team for the Neberkenezzer (or however it is spelt) and The lad from the 3rd movie (the one that seemed to have a hard-on for when even neo walked into a room and the kid would near shit himself with orgasmic excitement at his mere presence!!) Could become the next Neo like person.

What is the problem with the police. I mean sure so a load of students got out of hand big deal. They have the right to be pissed off. This country was founded on the principals of being a "free" country.

Management have the unalying ablitly to shaft what ever member (wayhey) of staff they feel like. I have worked fot some of the biggest names in IT as a designer, Admin and Technical Support.

I hope I am not alone in the fact that I spend countless hours of my working day making my boss look like a complete an utter failure infront of his peers and it give me great pleasure in doing so. Knowning (As I do) that eventually he will get fired and I will have brought harmony to my work place...

Sorry to say it but actually being a Spanish person, from Spain might I add (who'dathunkit!) We learnt all there was to know about the "General" Franco from an early age.
And the story goes thus....

Lets face facts, at some point in "everyone's" life they have done something, Shall we say "a little bit risky!". Ok most of us would never ever admit that we may have caused fraud to a bank or have stolen something from somewhere for someone....
So what, the guy got caught, do people really think he gives a crap, he pulled off a great money making hack. Now the sensible person in me (had the roles been reversed) would have been to place the bullion at 4 "private" locations. The money would have been moved on to an offshore account with one of the passports (lets face it thats all it REALLY takes nowadays).
Done, except for the obvious evidence IE PC's and whooping great car outside if he had actually thought it through he could have come off a winner really... But what do i know about hacking :)
Scamers are what make the world go round. I had one once about 2 years ago some man knocked on my door and ask me if i had a pc in the house which was connected to the internet. Being a helpful person i said yes and the man asked if he could come in to ensure it was secure from outside threats.
I asked the man for his id and then asked for the name and telephone number of his manager. He gave over the id badge i closed the door and rang the number he gave me (from my mobile while voice recording was active) spoke to some nut named andy simmons who confirmed (as if he wouldnt!) the guys identity.
So of course being so worried about all these "threats" the bloke was on about i went back to the door handed him his id back and offered to let him in.
Before he entered however, I told this so called engineer that my dogs (which i did have at the time) where two rottweilers and were extreamly dangerous as they were being trained to work as attack hounds. Subsequently the guy changed his mind and left. Shortly after I called the police gave them the information and a discription and the phone i had made the call on..
Never did find out what happened to the pair of idiots....
Moral of the story... A little forethought saves on expencive and quite often damaging losses.
