Although warranty of goods could still be taken up with the manufacturer I guess, but any credit someone may have on gift cards etc. is exactly that - credit. COmpany goes under & its worthless

Unfortunately as I understand it your statutory rights mean bugger all when administration kicks in. The company you bought it from technically wont exist in its current form after today. All creditors have to get in line for anything they feel that GAME owe them and as an indivdual consumer we are way down the food chain after suppliers, lawyers, the administrators themselves, etc.

I really, really wanted an excuse to buy one of these as the display is going to be amazing as a photographer. The problem is that I already have an iPhone 4 that does damn near everything else the iPad can do, and an HTPC under the TV for when I want a bigger screen when sofa-surfing. I needed better reasons for spending £400 on a luxury item damn you Apple!

I really dont understand the fuss... If you use Apples free software to create an interactive proprietary format book, then you can choose to either export it as a PDF and sell it freely as you can with any other commercial software, or keep it in the Apple-owned ibooks format and sell it through Apple's commercial outlet for a 30% fee, as with all of their store content.

Its less than any publisher would take and they're selling the book across thousands of iDevices for you. If you dont want to pay 30%, just export it as a PDF or keep it in iBooks format and make it free.

@silverburn You can control itunes & several other things via voice control already, its been built in since the 3GS I think. Just hold the home button and say "Play Next" or "Play Foo Fighters" or similar. Grumpy Old Fart, I can at least sympathize with capped quotas, dodgy connections & poor speeds as we still see this regularly in the UK, particularly outside the big cities. BUT if we had to £6 for a pint of beer, I think last week's riots in London would look like a playground scuffle compared to what would would follow!

Agree 100% with review. Could have been amazing, but trying to scroll across a map and accurately scoop and dump a swirling ball of sand is not as satisfying as it could be when you're struggling with analogue sticks, mouse would be perfect.

The graphics also seem quite limited (sometimes hard to see your men running around) but for a £10 you cant argue its great value for money. Plus, as with all XBLA games there's a free trial to see if its your cup of tea, although I imagine the later levels are more fun than the ones in the trial.

it would be nice if they finished the exchanges they've already started first!! Our exchange was upgraded about 18 months ago and on a busy industrial estate they still haven't upgraded our junction box so that we can get the service. 2mbps adsl doesnt cut it for a business our size :(

Forgetting Browser Choice?

Firstly, why does it suggest Windows isnt pulling in surfers? Surely a large proportion of the Firefox & Chrome users are running Windows still, just not using IE as their main browser?

Secondly, It's all well and good equating sales of Win7 to using IE8 but having visited many domestic customers since the EU enforced the "Browser Choice" on European and UK users, most of the IT illiterate seem to see the word "Google" on the screen and automatically think that is the one they need because its the only one they've heard of, not realising they are actually installing Chrome as their default browser.

I wouldn't be suprised if a large number of these Chrome installs are as a result of this, whether thats a good or bad thing...
