BASIC

I was given an MTX512 for Christmas when I was 10. The relative lack of games was disappointing for a kid that age but I actually had a ton of fun learning to program in BASIC.

Sky – great so far

I moved from IdNet, who are a good non-evil company to 'evil' Sky because Sky are the best price+quality unmetered deal I could find, and their speed is fine. It's been nearly two months and, so far, no complaints. I had to reboot the router once, but that's it.

IMAP could wipe you out

Presumably, if Google loses your emails but still keeps the account active, your IMAP client(s) will start synching themselves to this empty state. A POP backup would be better and AFAIK you can enable both at the same time on Gmail.

An actual balanced opinion

I use Safari (yes, it is used by actual "people" – being faster than Firefox).

I barely register on the Mac fanboy scale and I think Apple should give this matter some attention. I'm not impressed with their casual response.

On the other hand, no sleep will be lost. No malicious files have appeared since this issue was identified. I'm not breaking sweat over it. Have a nice day.

IMAP folders - labs to the rescue

There's a great feature in labs to let you deselect labels that you don't wish to appear as folders in an IMAP email client. I used it to deselect 'All Mail' so that searching for emails inside Apple Mail doesn't bring up duplicates all the time.
