They have a "legal warrant" to listen to every call? So they have evidence against every caller? Smells like bullshit to me.

Sticky backed copper tape patches,(garden centre slug repellent type,) mounted on the fuselage, with springy copper feeds from your battery resting thereon? Virtually zero friction or resistance to sliding, and should easily handle the low current draw.

I seem to remember my circa 1990 Aiwa (I think) VHS being able to take an RCA line level input, and record audio only at about 4 > 1 on a tape. eg. 8hrs music on a 2hr tape. Sounded fine into a Quad 33 into Yamaha PA + active speakers... 'Til a burglar took the VCR, TV, camera, cash, and my big rucksack :o(. But left the stereo...

@jzlondon. For me, sound quality IS the only criteria when evaluating AUDIO equipment.
Price also has a major influence, as, like Mr. Raith, I'm not made of money either. My current system, since my Quad 33 karked it, is a 30 year old NAD amp, driving a pair of 25 year old Linn speakers. Sounds bloody marvellous to my aging lugs, and the pair of them cost me less than a ton. Isn't fleabay great?
Of course, YMMV.

In a previous life, my colleagues and I installed dozens of those little babies in Out of Hours Doctor's cars all over the country. Came with a docking bay, to which we could attach Paknet Radio Pads for fully mobile data. A printer on the back seat too, if you wanted / needed hard copy.

Volvo has always been a prestige brand.
That's why (mostly) older people buy them new. They have the money.
They build comfortable, safe, practical and strong cars. All in the same model. They also do fast ones, if you want.
I can only put cassettes in mine, because I'm a pleb, and can't afford a new one. But hey, I can get Radio 4 everywhere, even in France.
But what is the advantage of one of these "reduced" Androids, if you and I can buy a bloat free Moto G quad core "proper" Android with a gig of RAM for the same price?

Don't get me wrong, I was a BIG fan of Nokia, but they really backed the wrong horse in Microsoft.

It's a shame really. From 1996 to 2010 I only ever had Nokia phones, and they were all great at being phones. My trusty 6310i still comes out of retirement when I go fishing, purely for its brilliant reception. None of my smartphones have ever had a sniff of a signal at my favourite fishing spot...

Are you listening, and watching, British Telecom? FFS, we need some competition on the right side of the pond. And not just in the Virgin (cables inherited from Telewest/Blue Yonder and others.) cabled, high population areas. I live on the main street in my moderately sized town (60k+), 200 yards from the main exchange, but can't get FTTH from any-one.
