Thanks. I can maybe see it offered as a kind of "subscriptions as service" API in that way, yeah, good thinking.
Still, in your face paywalls because you installed an ad-blocker seems like the kind of nonsense that motivates people to install ad-blockers (or change browsers to be able to do so) in the first place.

May be Friday afternoon syndrome kicking in but, try as I might, I just cannot decompile this statement into anything comprehensible.
"Publishers" is advertisers? So Google will let someone who buys ads on their network tick a box which causes Chrome to circumvent the default behaviour of any third-party ad-blocker plug-in installed and instead redirect the user to a paywall?
And Google believes AdBlockPlus users on Chrome would be fine with that?

This is where my comprehension abends.
Doing some basic IT training for classes of novice adults at a college I asked folks to point at the Word Perfect icon (yeah it was... a while ago) with the mouse and one feller physically held the mouse to the screen and then glanced around awkwardly with that "Am I doing this right?" look on his face.
At the peak of NetWare I had high hopes that the big red "N" would hold off the charge of the Microsofties.
Now a NetWare 5 box acts a riser for one of my monitors. Like NetWare itself was, it's become an immutable, decidedly practical brick that few ever notice, with Windows sitting on top of it.
Just moved house after 17 years and skipped so much old technocrap. CRTs, EISA mobos, SCSI cards the size of cricket bats - you know the kind of stuff I'm sure. Of course, I /did/ hang on to my ZX81, several Speccies and a QL... I mean... I /need/ them... or I will sooner or later... probably.
Not a poke specifically at MS (for once) since both Apple and Google have borked their own app stores at one point or another: just how does one do this? You'd think (wouldn't you?) there would be /some/ testing involved when planning changes/upgrades/configuration of major client-facing services? Wouldn't you? Even of the most basic kind like, "If we change this setting, will one entire class of users no longer be able to use the service?"
SteelSeries Sensei. Symmetrical ambidextrous. Seven buttons, two right side, two left side. Crazy high max DPI. Customizable LEDs in various spots. Onboard profile menu and a small LCD screen on the bottom (I kid you not) for switching through the profile menu without needing to rely on software.

Good Lord. If ever there was an interface design move that proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that the /entire/ team responsible don't have a single clue about interface design to share between them, this is it.
Corel did the same with the latest version of their Photoshop competitor, Paint Shop Pro. Fortunately they listened to user uproar and hastily patched colored toolbar icons back in. One would imagine that MS will also reverse their design choice in response to the inevitable furore about this laughable ineptitude.
The damage, in some sense, is done though. Honestly, what confidence can one have in a team that would make such a mind-bogglingly naive mistake?
Indeed. Better even on Android, since there it /does/ integrate into every keyboard so that you can always dictate in any app, anywhere there's a text field. Its "In-Car" feature is rather spanky too. Vlingo will listen constantly (sucking battery like nobody's business of course, so keep it on charge) for you to say a trigger phrase at any time like, "Oy, mush!". When it hears it, it asks for your commands, listens again, and executes them immediately. 'Tis like having a fancy 1970's era sci-fi computer on your dashboard. All it needs is an option to talk back in a heavily vocoded RP accent.
Been using Android PocketCloud for a while for occasional remote desktop access. Obviously, fitting a multi-monitor Windows desktop onto a smartphone is never going to be a simple proposition but I reckon Wyse's nifty interface makes about as good of a job of it as anyone is likely to make. Turns out to be a very handy little knick-knack when you absolutely have to get something saved/printed/sent from within some bit of software on your home PC while you're out and about.
Neither is the first one: top of the tree trunk shows yellow, red and green pixels all within the same 8x8 attribute square. Not possible on speccy.
Nor the second one: Willy's white-on-black head and the red-on-black ground tile cannot share the same 8x8 square without becoming both white-on-black or both red-on-black.
