Re: Hmmm...

If they do a bodge job for win7 o/s then many won't install the patch, if you have a good security suite installed then how can this be an issue?

This month's security patch is blocking PC's with 6th and 7 generation intel CPU's even though Microshaft had agreed earlier this year to extend support for 6th gen sky lake CPU' running on W7 and Win 8.1 ,Those who instal these patches will have their os blocked from receiving or installing further patches

Yet another pysh by them to get everyone to use their bloated spyware that they call win10

Well it's obvious to me that the big corporations & therefore their shill's who work in government and the media have a problem with Bitcoin and will seek to destroy it, and not really about peado's

In this surveillance state that we are living in, they will be asking ISP's to block bitcoin next

everything is ok, folk's keep spending your money in the shops it's good for the economy

Plusnet is working on a network-level filter to block pirate sites

I way i see this ,If i have to start using a VPN to circumvent the crappy filtering nonsense deployed by an ISP. A may as well switch to an ISP that doesn't pander to the music & film industries , or are they doing this to save on bandwidth ? The monthly subs may cost me more if with a smaller ISP, but when the cost of a decent VPN service is added to what i have now there isn't a grate deal of difference in the price,

As for the Porn filter (Camerloon filter) As i am already an adult i don't want or need this BS and don't want to pay for it , because the costs will be passed on to the customer

Plusnet must want to shed subscribers as doing this that's what's gonna happen , that shiny new call center in Leeds may become a white elephant in the not too distant future

PM writes ISPs' web filter ads for them - and it must say 'default on'

Web blocking not far from the next election, co incidence or not ?

As the title says , i think such blocking by default is definitely the start of a slippery path in a downward direction for the so called Democratic society that we are alleged to live in,

Such things as web blocking are not democratic, they are a form of dictatorship ,If or one do not have any children living at home, so no need for any filtering , Another question is this who will end up paying for this unnecessary web blocking it won't be ScammerCON will it?

They have recently (government. and the likes of the BPI ect ) been colluding with VISA and Mastercard to no longer process payments for VPN services that they are told are used to violate copyright ect, so the likes of Ipredator VPN now have to use other methods , its a bit like the paypal thing, of them no longer processing payments to cyber lockers

shows how corrupt they all are

BT engineers - missed appointments

Re: BT engineers - missed appointments

In, my case which is still ongoing, I reported a voice fault to my Telephone provider BT retail last wednesday i was given an estimated time to fix the fault of 5 days so it should of been sorted yesterday monday , but wasn't And yes i waited in all day, a complete waste of time as no Openreach engineer showed , still have no dial tone, I have contacted BT via e-mail and i was informed i may need to wait until this Friday ,as BT openreach are apparently saying that there are a lot of faults in my area,(utter non sense) The best bit is that an BTopenreach engineer is responsible for the fault in the first place ,whilst fixing/connecting other lines at the local PCP they disconnected one of the 2 wires ( D 'side Pair) leaving only the broadband service working , and this same thing has happened before,

And the BT retail (outsourced- based overseas) customer service is abysmal

BeThere WERE Great! ,not any more

Just because an issue didn't affect someone doesn't mean that a very large percentage of the customer bases of both o2 &BE would not agree with you on that, Please stop trying to defend the defenseless,

As for other ISP'S imposing usage caps , a few do but not all and FYI there are quite a lot of other ISP'S out there that offer a unlimited and UN-throttled service too, there is nothing unique about Be at all, Infact some of the opposition have not had problems with lack of peering capacity or a network that is unable to cope with the demand, infact apart from what is known as the "London ring " within M25 they Don't actually have a network so the rest of us see a very different level of service in a lot of ways, And the lame attempt by one of their fanboys in a bid to divert attention away from this article, something about a cat and router ??? talk about digging holes lol

Re: Either it's Be/O2...or Akamai

This problem was probably brought to light due to the other issues that caused the high amount of packet loss to anything related to the bbc, some .Gov.uk site's where also affected by the packet loss problem, which caused loading the pages was extremely slow or failed completely as people were unable to connect, this also caused problems to the I player streaming, regardless of the CDN provider, they use more than akamai

So i don't buy this latest admission as being the whole truth

FAIL

BE/O2 too many official conflicting comunications given ,

Why is it there are some who will try and cover for this their isp even though an issue on this scale that clearly affected thousands of the customer base, not for a few hours or peak times only, but lasted for 4 weeks for some of us, what the actual issue was is irrelevant here,

But how they handled it is the issue, they completely failed at first and continued to fail their customers ,

Apart from a workaround solution , which was not released by the isp so was an unofficial work around , (spoofing the routers hw address) which would force a change in the public ip assigned by the isp only worked for dynamic ip customers , most reported no packet loss after doing this

So how would that be the Fault of any third party ? Which is what be have done blame anything & anyone but themselves or their available resources

This is almost a repeat performance to that issue with peak time congestion that some customers experienced in 2011 that took several months to finally fix, (lack of peering bandwidth with LINX public peering)

Sky blames network problems for site blocking

Sky blames network problems for site blocking

For a start the Mandelscum brigade cannot just block all the file hosting sites ,infact before it was allowed to request isp's to them they would have to get court orders for each site and therefore would need some substantial amount of proof, and the file host would also be given a chance to remove the copyrighted material beforehand

Also you lot never heard of encrypted vpn services?oh and they would not ever block those,as firstly they would have to prove that there sole use was copyright infringement,

as for getting you details from the vpn(if overseas) are very slim,

As for file sharers being FREETARDS ? Strange that , i would say that they have plenty of common sense,as they aren't lining the pockets of the filthy rich there is nothing better than FREE!!!
