Re: geographic entity
No need for an ethnicity test. If you're not Welsh, we know, believe me, we know...

Many people are put off by the £5 per month Tivo tax (which VM try to bury in their 'collections', but is still there) for features they don't want. Sure, many people love Tivo, but many more have no need of it.
What people really wanted was a modernisation of the V+ box (1 or 2 TB) and a £5 per month lower bill.
Was sure it would be the number one cock-up. Launched years too late when so many people have already got alternatives. Confusion with regard to the packages on offer and then the major shareholders decide to pump big money into advertising it's biggest competitor Freeview+ on TV at Christmas!
Not just Doh, but Dodo (Raphus cucullatus) comes to mind...
Virgin have taken their eyes off the ball big time recently. They've spent far too much time banging on about the capabilities of it's TiVo box without realising they are capabilities that most people don't want, need or are prepared to pay £5 a month extra for.
Meantime they've failed miserably to attract an acceptable amount of HD content to the platform, something that people expect to be normal in 2012, not something special.
Without offering an acceptable HD channel line-up, VM are merely trying to polish a turd with this app.
That looks suspiciously like a board that I had to program (that's how we spelt it then) on a Summer School with the Open University at Bath University in the early 80s.
We had to simulate the cycles of a washing machine, putting the cycle name in the alpha display and also switching on either a red or green LED that were also on the board and and spinning a small motor that was also on the board (looks suspiciously like it's near the bottom left in the picture).
Wonder how many of these the OU have got tucked away at Walton Hall, and if they've got an eBay account.
It's really going to hit the fan when people realise they're going to get S4C HD instead of C4 HD on Freeview. Most Welsh people only speak English and have got used to being able to watch C4 on digital TV. When the Freeview HD advertising starts and they realise they're going to get (effectivly) one less channel than everyone else it'll get interesting.
